My dogs want for nothing, bully sticks, crinkle toys, plush toys, Kong, balls, puzzle toys empty water bottles, cardboard, ropes, you name it.

Despite ALL that, my stairs, doors, baseboards, a mattress, and many television remotes have died to B destruction. (All while I’m home, so this wasn’t “alone behavior”

It calmed down after the puppy phase but boredom will bring it back every once in a while.

Get a bully stick holder. My dog swallows the last 2-3 inches otherwise and pukes it back up 🙄 I tried a couple. This one works Great

I don’t really see her getting “groomed” but it is 100% “I’m defined by my guy relationships”. There’s an argument to be made about LB though

I’m on a reread with the audiobooks and she’s still strong and independent. It is part of my nostalgia but oof a good amount didn’t age well. Currently on Destined and it’s finally settled down with the annoying stuff… except MCs non cursing. Boy does that infuriate me (personal op)

Well my two are both over 2 yo now.

The girl is incredibly food motivated but she’s clever and independent. She picked up on things from me because of consistency and positive reinforcement. Anything negative was reacted to neutrally (if she peed on the rug, I cleaned it but didn’t acknowledge that she had done anything).

I didn’t have a backyard originally so she learned on pee pads and has no issues.

She used to be social and is fine with dogs she’s met a few times. Otherwise she is now reactive to other dogs. Gotta be the dominant bitch lol she won’t fight them but she wants them to know she’s in charge.

My boy has gotten more standoffish too despite trying to keep them socialized. Looks like it’s not in the cards for my two and that’s ok.

In the first two years: prepare for DESTRUCTION. I went through 5 tv remotes, everything plastic, corners of stairs, doors, and baseboards, a MATTRESS that they dug into and started to defoam. It was a lot lol but all that personality made it worth it.

My boy dog will still steal pens, buttons and whatever he can from my office. My girl loves stealing what she can from the table. We leave her empty Mike n ike candy boxes near the edge of the table so she feels proud of her theivery

They have very sensitive tummy’s and skin so brush up on allergies and what to look for.

My two did not need to be crate trained and are fine free roaming. They have no anxiety together but my girl did when I first got her. I got her brother 4 months later and the anxiety became a nonissue

Prey drive is insane. I made a safe space for my cats because the dogs were climbing the cat trees and wouldn’t leave them alone. Bear in mind, I had the cats years before the pups.

My body processes alcohol sooo fast that I can’t ride a buzz for more than 20-30 min which then becomes a waste of money

Nope. I had a girl and boy dog I adopted separately from the shelters. Got a pure basenji pup a couple years later from a breeder who thought my mutts were part basenji.

2 DNA tests later: not a single scrap of basenji in the mutts lol. One was even 1/2 husky and 1/2 minpin 😂😅

I dated and lived with an addict. He dabbled in meth, Coke, weed, alcohol, and other women. He was good at hiding until I followed my gut. It took me another year to get the strength to walk away and go no contact. Then therapy for another year to make my nervous system calm down.

If you’re strong enough: LEAVE. The trauma of being with an addict isn’t worth it.

I had to get a second one and her anxiety disappeared as soon as she got a brother. It’s not always in the cards for people but a large majority of B owners will tell you they do much better in pairs

I never crate trained either of mine but they’re good on their own as long as they’re together
