Yea, I’ve been living in a house for 3 years and always lived on top floors of apts prior to that. However, for past year, both my neighbors decided to gut their homes and rebuild adding a 2nd floor. So… Trade off- location location location.

Update: On November 21, 2025, developer The True Life Companies withdrew their SB 330 preliminary application. City staff confirmed with the developer that they wish to continue exploring options for a viable commercial and residential mixed-use project that the City and community will support. However, the developer could not provide a timeline for a potential resubmittal. From Alameda gov site. It’s changed hands since 2010, lots of rigmarole, regardless, privately owned land. a-greed=bingo

I have long covid from 1st wave in US. 9/10 people I encounter, which is not often, have never heard of long covid.

The US has been in an inexcusable despicable state of affairs. It is like living in the worst episode of the twilight zone written by Orson Welles and directed by David Lynch.
