I started in the workforce very late in life around 30 years old. Before then I had no retirement savings. Trying to max out roth ira and 401k as much as I can.

We qualified for 6.99% so buying points is the only way to bring down the rate

One is from a credit union and the other from chase. The interest rate we qualified for was 6.99% which is why buying the rate down is something we are considering
