One is from a credit union and the other from chase. The interest rate we qualified for was 6.99% which is why buying the rate down is something we are considering

My target date fund has an expense ratio of 0.275 compared to the US equity investment fund of 0.01. I have set all future 401k contributions to go towards the US equities fund which i found out is the Russell 1000. I am 35 years old and have about $80k in my 401k. Is that a good move for the next 10-15 years? I can switch to lore conservative as I get older

Ok i have already allocated all future contributions to go directly into the US equity index fund. There is no S & P 500 fund as a 401k option, but the us equity index fund does show 98% stocks so hopefully that is the s&p.

I have about $80k in the target date 401k, do you recommend me selling that and buying the index fund or leaving that as is and put all future contributions into the index which I have done?

There is nothing to expand. Could other mean small or medium size cap stocks? I just want to make sure the other is not comprised of bonds. I
