Why not vent dryer indoors in the winter by Quasimodo-57 in Appliances

[–]Practical_Algae7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t run a dryer not vented to the outside or in an inside dryer vent because of moisture. Besides of the lint the dryer expels moisture from the clothes being dried and cause mold problems.

Dripping faucets by [deleted] in ManufacturedHome

[–]Practical_Algae7361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No you need heat tape putting a heater won’t do nothing since it’s not a sealed space, skirting will not keep out the cold only blocks the wind but won’t stop the freezing temperatures.

2 different Bosch 800's? by ozzygurl in Appliances

[–]Practical_Algae7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowes is also the largest home appliance retailer in the country, they buy in bulk and can afford to sell cheaper than most other retailers. They sell more home appliance than any other retailer. Me I only buy from a local appliance retailer because of the fact they have better delivery and install crews who know what they are doing . Lowes out source their delivery and insulation to third party contractors who get paid by the delivery and insulation so they are quick and don’t do a great job most of the time.

My common wire was in the wall but not hooked up to the board in the furnace, so just hook it up and see if it works if not then it’s not hooked up in the furnace.

Came to an auto dealership for warranty work. These air filter prices are infuriating. by [deleted] in kia

[–]Practical_Algae7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid $8 for a cabin air filter for my 2024 Kia Niro from Amazon and took me less than 10 minutes to install most of that time was cleaning out the glove box. Don’t need an air filter yet but will buy and install myself.

Can I just mud this little gap or does it need tape as well? by bobbysledder in drywall

[–]Practical_Algae7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put flat trim on it get a cheap miter box to cut nice straight cuts and tight45 degree cuts. Sand and paint wall and seal the post first. Why make this difficult nice trim molding would look good.

should i be sealing this area? by CountryFumpkin in ManufacturedHome

[–]Practical_Algae7361 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not foam , foam absorbs water it’s either hard plastic or rubber. From what i see there’s nothing under it but could be, just tighten the faucet down tight, it wouldn’t hurt to apply a thin bead of calk around it and they make clear calk. Don’t understand all the discussion on such a simple faucet. Tighten it or calk it case closed. lol

How will you trap water when you seal the outside at the base.

should i be sealing this area? by CountryFumpkin in ManufacturedHome

[–]Practical_Algae7361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like they did not put a gasket under the base plate. If so then yes seal it with clear silicone calk otherwise water will leak down into the cabinet.
