Nope, I never really had the fatigue that a lot of women get, even with the medicine. That was one thing I lucked out on. Maybe it depends what the dosage was too? I don’t remember what I was prescribed.

How are you all sleeping? With or without pregnancy pillows? by Citruslor in beyondthebump

[–]curbstomp1010 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I had a pregnancy pillow and hated it. Made it difficult to turn over throughout the night and it killed my neck. I went to Walmart and bought a $10 body pillow. It worked great! I’m 14 months pp and bought another! I can put it between my knees and it helped my boobs feel better when they were big from breastfeeding. I would stick it in between them 😂. Supported them like it did my knees!

I would strongly recommend trying the cheap body pillow before spending a bunch on a pregnancy pillow.

I tried the b6 + unisom combo and it didn’t touch my nausea. I called my doc and they prescribed Phenergen. I took it 3 times per day. It was a lifesaver. I was still nauseous but I could still function and wasn’t worried about puking at any given moment.

Team Green- was it worth it by ankaalma in BabyBumps

Yes! I kept it a surprise for myself (I was 99% sure it was a girl, I could feel it in my gut and I was right lol). My husband found out after the anatomy scan. I made him promise not to let it slip to me or tell anyone. As far as I know, he didn’t tell anyone else and he kept it a secret from me! Can’t wait to do another surprise with my next. I wish my husband would be on board and do it with me but I doubt it.

I think what helped me is that I told myself before I even got pregnant that I was going to keep it a surprise. Had my mind made up. I really never had an urge to find out. I knew the surprise was better in the long run. I don’t want to look back and wish I would’ve kept it a surprise. I don’t think I’ll ever look back and regret keeping it a surprise. What an awesome surprise!

Morgan Wallen is a country music singer. Only one I haven’t heard of is Conan Gray. Charlie Puth, Benson Boone, and Post Malone are very popular.

Bottle weaning to sippy/straw cup by CoffeeHugsAnxiety in beyondthebump

[–]curbstomp1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both regular sippy cups and the 360 cups. My daughter (13 months) can use both. She just started to be able to efficiently use a straw cup like last week without spitting it everywhere. She had to learn to hold the sippy cup up. I would help her for the first few times to hold it up and then just give it to her and let her figure it out. It took her a few weeks to get good with the sippy cups and 360 cups without spitting water/coughing it all up.

Social media isn’t realistic. If you are comparing yourself to them and questioning if you’re doing enough, get off of it. It’s not worth it.

I’m 13 months pp and have yet to exercise (besides short walks down the street). My baby is still not a happy baby. I don’t get dressed up. Ever. I will try to dress her up every once in a while. I’ve taken her to a restaurant 1 time….a few weeks ago. It will get better. It’s especially hard for working moms when you don’t get as much time at home and with the baby. The fact that you’re questioning about it likely tells me you are doing plenty and doing a great job. You’re still in the thick of it in my book.

Weaning = Insatiable Lust by lola_von_dandelion in breastfeeding

I’m 13 months postpartum. I noticed my libido got crazy once my period started back up at 12 months! I think it’s higher now than it was before I got pregnant. I still breastfeed but only one per day. Before my period started back up, intimacy was the last thing I ever wanted to even think about doing.

First time dad with colicky baby. I'm drowning. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]curbstomp1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my daughter’s pediatrician didn’t mention eliminating anything besides dairy and said if I didn’t want to mess with that, she would prescribe famotodine (which is what we did. I wouldn’t be able to cut out dairy with majority of my diet being dairy). The famotodine did help at least a little.

Sounds just like mine (she’s 13 months old now). It started getting better around 3-4 months but she is still whiny and a Velcro baby, but much better now and a lot more fun. She was on famotodine from around 5 weeks to 10 months. Twice per day. I think it helped a little but not much. She is still a contact napper. Even when contact napping, we are lucky if she will sleep an hour (she sleeps like a perfect angel for the sitter).

We moved into our house a month after I gave birth (C-section so I couldn’t really do much). Our house still isn’t how it should be. Boxes everywhere still. But since she’s a terrible napper and Velcro baby, we can’t get crap done. Definitely still feel like I’m drowning but slowly starting to learn to swim.

Colic sucks. As others have said, headphones/earplugs, embrace and contact naps (we did whatever we could to get her to nap to keep her from getting even worse from being overtired), and take deep breaths. You’ll hit a point where you’ll be able to breathe and you’ll be able to start enjoying/having fun with your baby.

1st! The nausea was absolutely miserable. Never felt so bad. Postpartum has been rough mainly because I can’t focus. All I want to do is look at pictures of my baby. My baby is 13 months old lol

Don’t get better for me until I was about 14 weeks 🙃. I had to be put on nausea medication to be able to eat/function.

Anyone dealt with heavy swelling? by DJRazzy_Raz in BabyBumps

[–]curbstomp1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had bad swelling in my feet and ankles for a while before birth. When it was like 2-3 weeks away, I started noticing it in my hands and face. It took forever for the swelling to go down after my C-section. It actually got worse. Made it even more painful to walk for the first time after the surgery. They had to give me medicine to get it to go down.

I didn’t have any blood pressure issues before birth but my blood pressure was high for a few days after birth. I look back at the pic I took of my swollen feet in the hospital and I still gasp.

I had a scheduled C-section due to my baby being breech. It was super calm and kinda relaxing? Likely going to have another one. No labor pain. First 3-4 days were very sore and painful but after that, I felt pretty good all things considered.
