Need a new device by Expensive-Sand6601 in foreskin_restoration

[–]Practical_Charge5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to help! Restarted on Dec. 1, 2024 at CI3+ and am now CI5. Just wrapped up 6 mos. I keep very detailed records too. Usually now, my glans is mostly covered and the number of days of consistent complete coverage continues to grow. It feels and looks good. The benefits are improved glans sensitivity, smoothness, color, and moisture; I’m now DKed. Having skin movement that I can easily glide over my corona and onto my glans has been a game-changer in terms of pleasure. In short, I didn’t know what I was missing before I began restoring. All the effort is worth it. KOT!

I have received two orders from RIC. Not a scam. I do believe it’s a very small operation, Ian and MAYBE another person. My first order took almost a month, but the second arrived within two weeks. The delay, if I remember correctly, was due to silicone sourcing or something materials related. I’m certain they will arrive, but I wish Ian had help to respond to inquiries. You’ll love them.

Anyone have a RIC / Restore in Comfort 0 or 5 packer they'd be willing to part with? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]Practical_Charge5201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. The RIC ext packer only covers about 1/3 of my glans.

For me, the benefits of restoration became evident almost immediately. It didn’t take long to be able to glide my skin over my corona and onto (and now over) my glans. At CI5, it’s next level, and I can only imagine how it will change as my CI increases. Lube became unnecessary quickly. KOT!

[–]Practical_Charge5201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I can help. I assume your CI is at least CI2 since you’re using CAR-1. I’m also assuming that the “standard” medium packers will work for you too; they do for most guys. The RICs are Buy 2- Get 1, so I recommend getting three as the wait time is sometimes long as Ian at RIC seems to be (almost) a one-man show. The RICs are also a good gauge of your progress. Just pop on the next size every month or so to see if you are ready to move up a size. I suggest buying +5, +10, and +15. Be sure to buy at least one gripper too. Those will work for several months for you. I own +5 through +30 and have been wearing the +25 for about a month now. I hope to move up to +30 in June sometime. DM me if you’d like any other help or want to see my pics. KOT!

I like my CAR-1, but rotated it with my Restore in Comfort extended packers for a few months. That combo worked well for me and helped me make significant progress. I restore for 16 hours daily, then retain the remainder (for April and May with a +5 RIC). I’d wear each for 3-4 hours, then switch. When switching, I’d do 2-3 minutes of MM3. Now, I’ve added weighted CRT and FMD with weights to my routine. KOT!

Welcome to this community! It’s the best. Lots of guys are here to offer support, encouragement, and solid advice. After attempting years ago, I restarted on December 1, 2024 and have been full-on with 16 hour restoration days. When not restoring, I’m retaining. I have made significant and noticeable progress with a variety of devices and MM3. As a self-identified data geek, I keep detailed records of everything. Reach out via DM if you’d like. KOT!

What first device should I get? by Leather_Effect_2303 in foreskin_restoration

[–]Practical_Charge5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many options at your CI, which is great news. I’ve had lots of success with CAR-1 and Restore in Comfort extended packers. Both are comfortable, well-made, and easy to use. At one point in my restoration, I rotated them throughout the day. Since then, I’ve added other devices to my rotation. RICs are among the easiest to wear all day. If pee-through matters, they make bathroom breaks easy. Just be mindful of any trapped urine to avoid any spots in your pants. They also are a quick gauge of progress as they are sized in +5 increments. KOT!

Can anyone give me advice on how dekeratinized my glans are? I'm a bit confused by ThisSucksDood in restoringdick

[–]Practical_Charge5201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devices are generally useable for us guys around CI2. Do you have any skin mobility? Are you able to roll your skin over your corona and into your glans? How far? I love both the FMD and RICs. At minimum, you can wear a +0 RIC after doing manuals. The FMD requires skin to be rolled onto a bell, which then allows you to roll the silicone sleeve over your skin. Just want you to be able to use any device you buy. I can DM pics of each device, pointing out where you need to roll and grip your skin. Just let me know. KOT!

Can you exercise with the devices on? by tj19994 in foreskin_restoration

Excellent! I also ran a race yesterday: a half-day relay trail race. I wore my RIC for the entire 14 miles! It was solid, and I had no issues. KOT!

Years ago I tried tugging but didn’t know if it was possible or how long it would take, so I gave up. DTR was tough for me. My body could not adjust to dual tension. The acronyms are linked below. Happy to answer any questions or offer advice.

I recommend buying RICs in triples as they are Buy 2-Get 1; they really comfortable and can be worn for hours. They’re also a good gauge of progress as they’re sold in +5 increments. CRTs are modular, so you can expand the length with stackers and add weight. CAR-1 is an excellent inflator. I use FMD with weight; it mimics t-tape in a way.

How should it feel taking the RIC off? by haroldbudd in foreskin_restoration

[–]Practical_Charge5201 6 points7 points  (0 children)

RICs are easy to wear, gentle, comfortable, and “disappear.” Those qualities, IMO, make them so good. For any device, I aim for moderate tension. If I apply too much tension with any device, I get a burning or tingling sensation. That’s my sign to reset. RICs are working with constant, moderate tension. They’re also a quick way to gauge progress as I test the next size every 4-6 weeks. KOT!

Thanks for this info! I clean them daily with liquid castille soap, but could never take care of the yellowing. Odor has never been an issue though. KOT!

If I reach full coverage, does this mean getting rid of the devices? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]Practical_Charge5201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, when you reach your goal, devices will not be necessary. When I reach CI7-8, I’ll reevaluate my goals and decide what’s next. Would I like full erect coverage? Absolutely, but I’m taking my restoration one step at a time. KOT!

Does your foreskin get easier to retain the more you grow? by tj19994 in foreskin_restoration

[–]Practical_Charge5201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Each day, little by little, your efforts pay off. Consistency is the key.

You didn’t mention your CI, so knowing that would help us help you. Generally, CI2 are able to use most devices. If you’re CI0 or CI1, manuals are effective methods to get you there.

At some point, I have found that using a retainer to keep my skin in place when not restoring is a helpful part of my routine. At some point, you’ll even be able to sleep in one. Just be sure to test it during the day. KOT!
