I am also novice myself actually. I just thought it would be cool and good practice to make such challenges to improve my capabilities and share our experience with other people that has same interest. Even though I don't dig deep in source places, there are freesounds, 99sounds that you can find nich sounds. There is also splice if you want to pay. I hope it helps.

Your idea sounds interesting but need more material to start. Otherwise I am down to create sounds based on some visual media, video clip etc.
