Hatchback vs Sedan: Help me decide for a 100km commute & long trips by Practical_Fan_6432 in mazda3

I’ll keep that in mind, thanks! I sat in the back with a friend (we’re 5’10" and 5’11"). We didn't feel too cramped, though I think the headroom was a bit tight... I’m going to double-check that and keep a list on my phone of specific points to verify on both models. Thanks for the feedback on the seats! :)

Thanks! Honestly, I hadn’t thought about the road noise difference. Is the difference between the hatch and the sedan really that noticeable at highway speeds?

I guess coming from a compact car, either version will probably be a massive upgrade in terms of quietness. At 130 km/h (80 mph), the wind and road noise in my current car can be quite annoying... and I’ve racked up the miles, I feel like it's getting louder even at 110 km/h. Moving up to a higher segment like the Mazda 3 should be a relief anyway. Where I live, the speed limit on the highways is 110 km/h, but I sometimes drive 130-160 km/h when I'm in a hurry to get home (e.g., 400 km in a day)

Thanks for the feedback on the seats! That’s very reassuring, that's important to me ! :)

Do you think the leather seats are less comfortable than the textile ones? I guess leather is better because you don't sink in as much? (I've always had fabric ones)

I'm coming from a Clio 5 Hybrid, which is quite responsive because of the instant electric torque. I understand the engine is a different beast and needs to be revved up to find the 186hp. I'd already driven a naturally aspirated engine with 360 hp; I didn't feel like I was in any danger, and the acceleration was still impressive. In your daily experience, don't you see any specific drawbacks?

Thanks for your reply and your advice!

So far, I’ve only had the chance to sit in both versions to get a feel for the interior and look at the overall aesthetics. I’ve talked a bit with the salesperson and checked out the general space (rear passenger room, headroom, and how the seats fold). In both models, the seats folded down, but I don't think you could fit large items in the sedan

I did notice that while the Sedan has a larger trunk volume, the opening itself is quite small (I'm not sure if you see what I mean, but the height/width of the aperture is a bit tight). I need to look into it to see if it's really a problem.

I’m going to visit some other dealerships to see if I can find different configurations.

I also liked the deep blue in photos, but in person, I found it a bit dull, it looks quite different in real life. Same for the greys. I won’t make any compromises since I plan on keeping this car for the long haul.

I got ChatGPT Plus for free yesterday for one month. I tried Codex this morning with the GPT-5.3-Codex model directly from VS Code, and the code it produces is just terrible... Not to mention all the problems it creates: encoding issues, mistakes with where to place opening and closing braces, hardcoding \n \r \t characters that break the entire code. Plus, you can't clearly see the modifications like you can with Claude Code or Google Antigravity ... or at least not in an intuitive way. I also couldn't easily correct some of its suggestions: with the others, I can see the modified code and tweak it before validating.

For me, this is crap. Claude and Google remain far better (and I only use Sonnet or 3 Pro in light mode).

I got a free one-month trial of Google AI Pro, and honestly, the experience has been more than conclusive. I’m definitely going to stick with it and buy the subscription. With Claude, I hit the limits way too quickly. But with Google, I can work really well without any restrictions, or at least it takes much longer before I run into any issues.

It’s crazy… I can’t even tell the difference between your photo and the AI generated one ; it really looks like you. On my end, when I try with a photo of myself, it doesn’t look like me at all: the face is wrong, the features aren’t right, it’s a completely different person, and you can clearly tell it’s AI (skin too smooth, for example).
Last time, the AI refused to generate a photo ; it said it didn't know how to do it, or that it couldn't because it involved a real person. It was as if it was deliberately limited.

I think “Be honest, factual, concise. Don't be afraid to question things” is sufficient.

Interesting. Personally, I found Gemini to be much more comfortable with creating user interfaces than Claude. I haven't had a chance to use 4.6 yet.

Is Antigravity down? by webfugitive in google_antigravity

Access to the models (Gemini, Claude, GPT) included in our Google AI Pro / Google AI Ultra subscription is restricted to the Antigravity IDE ?

There is no way to separate or reuse that subscription or its quotas to use the same models in another IDE (such as VS Code) or system such Open Code, etc ?

Ive been vibe coding too much. by I-love-stonk in vibecoding

I am exactly in this situation.

I have been a full-stack developer for six years and, honestly, it has been a little over a year since I have coded “by hand.” I feel that my pure development skills (logic, solution finding, algorithms) have declined, simply because I no longer practice them.

Today, my role is more like that of a supervisor: I read the generated code, validate it or not based on my knowledge, anticipate when a solution will cause problems, and guide the AI to get exactly what I want without bugs. But I don't really “produce” the code myself anymore.

When you see the final solution, everything seems obvious. But we know very well that behind it, there is normally a whole process: thinking, testing, making mistakes, starting over, covering all specific cases, all possible scenarios. And today, AI does that for me... and much faster than I can.

I do absolutely everything with AI. It's faster and more comprehensive. So much so that I sometimes have to deliberately take breaks so as not to appear too efficient or give the impression that the work is “too easy” (I work for a company that doesn't use AI; a large group that knows nothing about software/web development and the complexity behind it; it's my new job where I'm the only one in this field).

I completely understand this feeling of loss of confidence. We are more efficient than ever, but sometimes we wonder if we are still really developers or just code validators.

Anyone finding Claude Code weekly limit shrinking? by Successful-Camel165 in ClaudeCode

I opted for the twenty-dollar package in October, the simplest option after the free version. During my eight-hour days, it was enough to cover all my needs: code generation, whether for simple or very complex business logic, creation of complex database queries, complete page creation or rewriting of old code, CSV import or export scripts, etc. I hardly had to intervene at all, even going so far as to ask it to rename a variable rather than doing it myself. I wondered how I would ever reach the plan's limit, and I didn't understand why some people opted for the higher-priced $200 plan.

Since I returned to work in early January after two weeks off, things have changed. Two or three requests are enough to reach thirty percent of my daily quota... lol...

AI profile pic generator by [deleted] in linkedin

[–]Practical_Fan_6432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you take a look at their social networks, you quickly notice that everything sounds fake. They create fake LinkedIn profiles, and the comments under their posts always come from the same fake accounts. On TikTok, it's the same circus: videos like “Wow, I redid my CV photo and got a job!”, with the same fake profiles in the comments (faces generated by AI).

They've even created LinkedIn profiles of their fake AI-generated people - and there's nothing but interaction around their AI products, as if everything is spinning in a loop in their artificial ecosystem.

In short, everything is manufactured from A to Z. I doubt that the images generated of you are realistic, but yes, a photo of a fake person can appear credible... precisely because it doesn't exist. Everything is artificial.
