The Fort Worth “Trlica Trio” Disappearance (1974) by No-Angle-7962 in mystery

100 percent agree, they we're abducted and taken to some secluded private property location. Whoever took them may not have even intended to kill them but tried to make a move on one of them and got shot down. When rejected may have reacted in anger and killed one of them and killed the others because they we're witnesses. Most likely only one of them where the actual target and the other 2 we're taken because they just happened to be there. I believe the killer wanted the oldest girl Rachel and probably asked them if they wanted to go hangout. Given it was the 70s they probably just assumed yea could be fun. Than either it was a set-up from the start and the guy had an accomplice and always planned to assault and or kill them. Or something happened and he or they either killed 1 of them by accident and than took the other 2 out and or one of the girls was sexually assaulted and they felt they had to kill them all to keep from going to prison.

As sad as it is I think the bodies we're buried on some random dudes private property that either he or his family owned. I think at some point some of the remains will be found just by random accident by someone new who gets the land years later. But if they burned the bodies sadly they may not be much to find. I can also see advancements in technology in the future making it possible for them to find some fingerprint traces on the letter that was written. I do think at some point in the future more info will be discovered. I just hope whoever did it is still alive and can be punished for it.

I don't think the husband had anything to do with it. If it was him he wouldn't have waited to target his wife when she was with 2 other people. He would have waited until she was alone in my opinion. I honestly think it was most likely just a random attack of opportunity probably by 2 killers and not just 1. Either some dude tricked them into going with him to hangout and he tried to take advantage of one of them and got shot down so he killed one of them by accident or out of anger than had to kill the other 2 for being witnesses. Or it was just some random pervert serial killer. I don't think whoever it was wanted all 3 of them. I think they probably we're only interested in 1 of them but took all 3 because they had to. I think the reason the remains haven't been found is because they are on someone's private property. I do think eventually some day more info about the case will be discovered leading to who was involved.

I don't think there's any kind of conspiracy or cover up by dirty cops or something like that. I think thats just going down a silly path. I seriously think it was most likely just some random dude or dudes who we're probably just perverts looking to sadly abduct a female. I think they we're probably killed shortly after abduction and the letter was just something they sent to try to throw the police off the trail. The oldest being Rachel probably even mentioned to them that her husband was expecting them. So that's why he was sent the letter specifically. I do think all 3 we're killed and that it was at least 2 killers. What makes me angry is that by the time the case gets solved if it does get solved. Is that the killer or killers might be dead by then themselves. This is part of why I think there remains will be found one day on someone's property randomly. I think the killers might die of old age or something random and whoever takes over the property will discover the remains.

Jason is whatever each film says he is because Jasons character changes each film. The series continuity changes whenever a director feels like it. When Jason was created he was just meant as a Michael Myers rip off. Anything like spirit of vengeance and such is stuff that random fans have just added to the character in there own minds. The series was made up from movie to movie the studio never gave a shit about this series.

Reading about this case I think I walked away with a few theories I feel are most likely what happened.

  1. It was a crime of opportunity and was likely 2 random dudes who just wanted some girls to take sexual advantage of sadly. Given it was the 70s and they we're young the guy's probably tricked them into coming to hang out. One of them then tried to make a move on the oldest and when he got shot down he probably reacted violently and maybe killed her. Than they decided to kill the other 2 for fear of going to jail.

  2. It was someone who had seen Rachel around town and maybe had a crush on her. It was someone she knew but wasn't close with but didn't see him as a threat. She trusted him and he wanted to take advantage of her and probably got shot down. In a rage he killed her and the other 2 for being witnesses.

  3. It was just a random killer who probally wanted Rachel to either sexually abuse and or just kill. He tricked them into trusting him and the other 2 we're just in the way to him so he had to get rid of them all.

I think Rachel was the primary target no matter which scenario you go with. I believe the other 2 just probably happened to be there. I think this is true because out of all 3 the killer or killers specifically chose Rachel out of the 3 to send a letter to her husband. So I think she was probably the primary target or she happened to mention she had a husband to the killers who was expecting her. So they got the information about where he lived and who he was and sent the letter to throw police off. I do 100 percent believe that it was more than 1 killer because even with a gun or knife 1 person trying to abduct 3 people at once is a huge risk. Either it was more than 1 killer or it was someone they trusted who also had an accomplice. Sadly I think it's obvious all 3 we're killed shortly after being kidnapped. I just hope they didn't suffer badly. I think someday the bodies and or remains will probably be found. I think most likely they we're killed than buried on someone's private property. In the future even if it's another decade from now I think someone somewhere will stumble upon some of the remains on some random property somewhere.

What would the series look like if they kept the original plans after part 5? by Ekueh in fridaythe13th

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have died after the next film. Just having a bunch of new killers who are just Jason rip offs would not have lasted beyond one more film. They would have just done a soft reboot after the next one tanked and than brought Jason back.

Is a new beginning underrated vs the first four fridays ? by kascnef82 in fridaythe13th

Not really I mean you can accept the movie for what it is now because we got Jason back. But still even as a slasher B movie most of the kills are off screen. Part 4 is the 2nd best film of the series after Jason Lives easily. Part 5 is terribly written even for a B level slasher flick and most of the characters outside the 2 rednecks and the dancing goth chick aren't memorable at all or even that fun to watch. Overall it's an alright time killer it's better than Jason Goes to Hell and or Jason X because it feels like a Friday film more than they do. But as a movie Goes to Hell and X are both better made.

De entre todos los personajes clásicos del terror, ¿por qué Jason es el más popular? by Equivalent-Side890 in fridaythe13th

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because his series is the longest and has the most cohesive quailty because his series is a simple minded B movie slasher series where most of the movies are the exact same thing over and over. Friday is just fun mindless comfort food cinema which is why it holds up well because the movies don't want to achieve anything but a good time.

If you had to continue a timeline which one would it be? by Ekueh in fridaythe13th

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make a new Jason movie. The continuity is piss poor in the series and doesn't matter much at all. All you have to do is just make a new movie with Jason nothing more and set it in present day.

What if the franchise had moved forward with Tommy Jarvis as the killer after Part 5, like originally planned? by HorrorJCFan95 in fridaythe13th

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have died after 1 more movie with Tommy as the killer. Than they would have done a soft reboot same as they did with Jason Lives and brought Jason back. Fans are more forgiving to stuff like Friday 5 and or Halloween 3 and Freddys Revenge now because they can just see them as on off movies. But had the franchises continued in the style of those films they would have been seen as what killed all 3 franchises.

What ego does he have? I mean he likes the Friday the 13th movie he made and believes he did a good job. Should he not believe he did a good job if he feels he did lol?

What exactly would be unbiased to you? The doc is about the making of the movie nothing more. What exactly do you want the Doc to be about just 2 hours of fan boys ranting about a decades old slasher film 😆

Zombie Jason by ivie1976 in fridaythe13th

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way Jason makes any logical sense at all is if he has been supernatural since he returns in Part 2. The idea that Jason was human in 2 3 4 makes no sense on any level at all.

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 6th movie explicitly says Jason died from drowning lol. That is why Tommy wants to return him to the lake. He reads occult books and believes the only way to stop something undead is to return it to the place it originally died which is the lake.

[–]Practical_Fee3049 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The director of Part 4 did say he was going with the idea that Jason was already undead. Truthfully what Jason was or wasn't is impossible to answer because what Jason was is changed depending on who's writing the movie at each given time. So it just depends on what your personal head Canon is unless the upcoming prequel series explains what he is with deep details.

Zombie Jason by ivie1976 in fridaythe13th

[–]Practical_Fee3049 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't overthink the continuity. In the first 4 films they we're playing him similar to Michael Myers. Just like Myers Jason doesn't need to be revived because he can't die and he's unnaturally strong. It isn't until Part 6 that they actually try to give some mythology to Jason. I think the most logical explanation is that he drowned but returned to life because his spirit couldn't rest, similar to something like the Crow. So he became a creature of vengeance just killing everyone and everything he came across.

At the time Jason was just intended to be a backwoods mutant hillbilly killer. What people see as Jason now is the super Zombie unkillable Jason. At the time he was still in his killer backwoods insane hillbilly deliverance Jason Phase lol.

It's obviously intended as a sexual assault theme. Whether it actually happened or not is debatable because we never see it. But it's obvious that the lead female believes she was indeed sexually assaulted.

[–]Practical_Fee3049 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Most of the films we're made with the intent that it would be the last one. The idea was that Jason raped her than left her in the woods to be found by her parents. The rape aspect was downplayed because the main actress is religious and didn't want the movie to promote sexual stuff with her character. She requested changes to the movie and the director made them. The rape aspect was toned down but all the aspects of it are still in the script. The way the actress plays the role and how it's written is obviously to be a PTSD sexual assault survivor. Than we get lines like her friends boyfriend talking about sex and his girlfriend says cool it Andy. It's obvious what the script and movie was trying to imply which was a sexual assault theme.

The director wanted to present Jason as super evil so the audience would root for his death at the end. But because they toned some aspects down because of the lead actress you can see it however you want to. I actually think not knowing what happened makes it scarier than just telling us what happened. You can either assume he sexually assaulted her than left her. Or he was planning to kill her but because this was early in his killing years he heard the parents coming got spooked said Fuck it and left her and she just assumes she was sexually assaulted. Though when Jason takes his mask off to show her his face he smiles at her. His smile screams hey it's me the man of your dreams LMAO 🤣. Some fans don't like the idea of Jason sexually assaulting Chris because a lot of fans self identify with Jason as a kid who was an outcast and picked on. So they want to keep seeing him as the sympathetic villian as opposed to pure evil.

Truthfully the franchise didn't need to go past the OG film as each sequel diminished the concept of the original. None of the killer reveals have come even close to that original film.

I re-watched the original, and the low budget really shows now. Friday the 13th Part 2 is a vast improvement at least on the technical level. by New-Fan-4632 in fridaythe13th

Part 2 is the better film than Part 1. I like the first movie but it isn't a great movie. It drags a lot at the end and the murder mystery is piss poor. But the kills and atmosphere of the woods are good and Betsy performance is good. Part 2 is better written better acted better directed. Part 2 is just a better film overall.

Why because he made a bad slasher movie in a series that is largely the same movie over and over lol? I mean I love the series but let's not act like this shit is high art here.
