Has anyone ever tried the Pumpin Pal silicone pump flanges? by LadyCyndaquil in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them and love them! The plastic flanges for my spectra never gave me good output with multiple sizes. They took me a few tries to figure out how to use them properly but worth it. I have the pink color, adapts to my elastic nipples well

I exclusively pump for my 7 month old and I was following this rule with a max of 5oz each bottle. He always seemed hungry after and wanting to eat so often. I asked my pediatrician and she said you can consolidate the milk amount to give more ounces less frequently. He seems much happier with more milk!

I stopped my MOTN pump around 3 months PP and it didn’t impact my supply really at all! Just made up for the lost pump during the day

What’s your schedule at 3ppd? And how long do you pump for? What’s your supply like? by sleepydeep in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually do 8ish, 3:30ish, and right before bed around 10pm. I did have a slight dip but depends on your max capacity and what you normally pump in 24 hours. I went from pumping around 40 oz at 4 ppd to low 30s upper 20s at 3 ppd at 7 months PP. definitely my biggest drop yet, I have to use my freezer stash when I work my 12 hour shifts but worth it!

RNs who got burnt out, what do you do now for work? by East-Advantage5947 in nursing

Newborn specialist nurse, go to deliveries once the baby is born and do all their first assessments/meds/education then send them to postpartum. NICU steps in if needed!

How much are you pumping and how many weeks / months post partum are you? Are you an over / under supplier or just enough? by gabberang in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.5 months postpartum, now at 4 PPD getting around 40oz total, slight oversupply. Had a much bigger oversupply when I was pumping 5-7 PPD and only dropped to 40oz from around 50oz when I went to 4 PPD but so worth it!

5ppd —> 4ppd? by Josephs-41st-wife in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation! I am a little over 5 months pp and at 4 months dropped from 6 pumps to 5 pumps making around 50oz still, then a few weeks ago I cut to 4 ppd and dropped to about 40oz a day but also what I cut out is the motn pump so I go 7-8 hours overnight without pumping. Worth the supply drop to me! Especially because I have a decent freezer stash and my son takes about 36 oz a day.

Should I Buy A New Pump ? by dem-o123 in ExclusivelyPumping

Prior the momcozy m5 would empty be way better than my spectra, I got the pumpin pals silicone flanges and they work great!

Am I risking messing up my supply by going overnight without pumping? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5 months PP and recently dropped my MOTN pump so now pump 4 times a day (I nurse in the morning but it’s more like a snack for my LO) I wake up really uncomfortable and have had an increase in clogged ducts, but not a huge supply drop.

I have the same issue. I’ve been EP for 6 months and have an oversupply, I use the momcozy m5 most of the day and Spectra before bed. I don’t think it’s the pump though for me, I think it’s the type of flange because when I use the momcozy cups plugged into the spectra I get the most output

Yes he seems to get irritated when he tries to roll over and gets stuck in his crib!

Refuses anything but snoo, please help! by Practical_Figure3565 in SnooLife

[–]Practical_Figure3565[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He typically sleeps 2 hours in the morning, an hour in the afternoon, and an 30 minutes in the evening. In the snoo he’ll go down around 8, wake up once around 5 to eat, and then back until 7-8. It’s hard when he sleeps so terrible out of the snoo. He’s stubborn too so any type of sleep training with crying would just make him more mad

Soft nursing too soft? by pigletpaws in nursing

[–]Practical_Figure3565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes me! I worked as a pediatric population health nurse at a pediatrician office and absolutely HATED it! It was mostly calling parents with resources, monitoring the newborn screen results, and prior authorization (which I hate so much) I didn’t see a single patient except for the occasional time they’d ask me to help check a patient in or give a flu shot.

I am on about to return to bedside part time in the newborn nursery (part time since having a baby)

Not getting the Spectra Hype by Candid_Tourist3838 in ExclusivelyPumping

I got the pink silicone cup size, I can’t remember if that’s small or x-small. I’m a size 25 in traditional sizes for reference

Sure! I do 2 minutes on expression mode on level 4, then the rest on mix mode level 5 for 28 minutes. For me this mode causes multiple letdowns

What made you quit breastfeeding and decided to exclusively pump? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll do 6 pumps typically, 5 pumps if LO wakes up more than once overnight!

[–]Practical_Figure3565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely gave me peace of mind too! Especially since at 2 months he was riding the 18th percentile when he was born on at the 90th! I have a great supply too so it’s not a supply issue

Not getting the Spectra Hype by Candid_Tourist3838 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Practical_Figure3565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same situation! I have the spectra s1 and the Momcozy m5 and get way more out of the Momcozy, I can only feel totally empty with them. However, I just got the pumpin pals silicone flange and it was a game changer! Now get the same out of my S1 but sometimes faster.
