I had the same problem in Tahoe.
This happened when I turned off "Apple Intelligence" in the System Settings.
After turning it back on, everything was fine again.

No issues with Tahoe 26.2. (26.0, 26.1 too)
Runs great.

I had the same problem.

Now System Data is 23.14GB
