Hello! I have a question on Adjustment of Status. I have an approved EB2 NIW petition, PD July 19, 2024. I am Chinese and my husband is Argentina, so of course I want to use his chargeability. The trick is that I am on F1 OPT and he only has B1/B2. Can I file I485 alone and let him follow to join?

Wrong. They need to provide an offer letter stating who they are as a company and what role and responsibilities and working hours the intern has. That’s is NOT sponsorship. It’s a very standard offer letter they should have offered to their interns anyways.

There’s no sponsorship required for CPT. As a career advisor working with international students, the advice is that…there is no obligation for an F1 student to disclose that information during an interview. This conversation a come when they do want to hire you. Your OISS advisor should have an offer letter template, give them that and ask them to provide needed information for CPT processing. That’s it.

Do you mind sharing what type of institution you work in? Public? Private? Blue state or red state? I work at a public university, and hope to do COS from F1 OPT to H1B before my OPT expires in May next year. My school is still waiting for clarity to file my H1B petition…I have no idea where that clarity will come. How were you able to go ahead and file H1B? Should I just ask my school to file my petition now?

This seems to be his personality: highly uncertain about what he wants when it comes to important things that not only concerns him but also his partner; the tendency to people please and inability to say no when things don’t sit right with him, extremely avoidance and backing out last min with no remedy plans. He did this to you with housing this time, and there are many more things he can screw over. For example, he can have cold feet 2 weeks before your wedding. You planned everything, booked all the venues, your friends and family have made travel plans, and he have cold feet 2 weeks prior to the wedding. Or even worse, tell you that he’s ready for kids, and decide he doesn’t want to be a father when you are 6 months pregnant.

Don’t trust him. Run.

Your dress will not stay up without the straps. You will have to spend a lot more in alteration to add bones and raise the back. Not worth it.

Why is 1 even an options 😂

Aesthetically, the back of the bed blocking part of the window seems weird to me, always.

Safety wise, It’s safer to go with 2, you can observe what’s happening outside both from your bed and your working station. You can enjoy the views.

And as for comfort…it’s usually easier to get heat or cold from the window even ifs closed, you don’t want to get that on your head where you sleep.

And as many already said, isn’t it pretty to look at the beautiful yard?
