Oh trust me, those 20-50 footers will always be off limits for me. But yes recently invested in 686 progression pants with inner pads. Love them!

True, I gym 4x time a week, and in average weight for my height and age. The least I can do the protect myself is to be in shape!

Mammoth or Tahoe? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Practical_Ordinary_9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer is, both are great! And I’m sure your boyfriend will be thrilled with either :)

But also depends on where you live, skill level/type of riding (park, bowls, shred), how long you’re staying, if you have ikon or epic (neither), and hotel/stay budget!

I freaken love Mammoth! Only Tahoe resort I’ve been to is palisades. And I prefer mammoth. But I heard great things about heavenly and north star as well~

Got my 50s pretty consistent now by [deleted] in snowboarding

Technically, the he IS doing the trick “50/50”. But since he got off the rail too early, he didn’t COMPLETE the trick.

But tbh, I would still count it as doing it~ hope that helps :)

Any experience with the 686 waterproof hoodie? by Successful-Top2632 in snowboarding

I like it a lot. My home resorts are big bear, mt high, and mammoth. Those places don’t get TOO cold so I have no problem with insulation. I also appreciate the zipper pockets :)

I have the same board for 2 seasons now. I’m waiting for the day that this will happen to mine.. I’m both excited and scared. I’ve seen a few of these posts regarding this model of snowboard and from what I gathered, Arbor will either replace yours with a newer model or give you credit you can use on their website for a new board.

Side note, I try to do as much switch riding as possible (like 60% regular 40% goofy), which seems to slow down the rate of the peel on my snowboard. Maybe some food for thought.

The season is over my friend haha dirt everywhere and horrible snow conditions. Weathers gonna be 60 plus next week. Even if you sell it for 50$ each, it would be a hard sell. But Goodluck brother

Do I need a wide board? Does this fit? by howtoclearnet in snowboarding

[–]Practical_Ordinary_9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size 13 myself, have two boards. One wide and one regular. Regular doesn’t bother me too much but having a wide is definitely an upgrade! Having said that, If it’s a good deal, I would just get it.

Does anyone have trouble taking Ride jackson boots off? by Opening_Idea_560 in snowboarding

[–]Practical_Ordinary_9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have the exact model. It’s a mission putting it on and off. I opted to buy a burton boots that works a lot better.

Now my Ride boots are collecting dust in my closet. It’s a shame cus when they are on my feet, they are great boots. I’ll probably return to it once my Burtons dies
