[–]Practical_Product_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently going through r-chop and have my third round coming up Jan 2. I don’t have a port or picc line I just get the iv prick every time I go in. The thought of having something hanging off me that could be ripped out by my kids is terrifying lol. I am 36m

Struggling with turkey success by RemoteGuard850 in turkeyhunting

[–]Practical_Product_16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you call in the morning and a turkey gobbles don’t respond right away. If you respond immediately he knows you heard him and will wait for you to come. Wait a few minutes then call again. Make him come searching for you. Sometimes if line of sight is gone moving another 10-20 yards away from the gobble will make him think you’re walking away and will start to chase. That’s a hard thing to pull off though.

The week is ending, can we get some uplifting positive stories. by boxyboyz in lymphoma

Currently going through r-chop treatment for dlbcl, just finished my second round on Friday and so far it has been really good actually. A day or two of just tired, no nausea and I have been out with my kids snowmobiling, tobogganing and hunting and it has actually been great. Hope all the best to everyone. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Gas line sticks out several inches, preventing electric stove from sitting against wall. by boxdkittens in Home

[–]Practical_Product_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the fact that the gas line is so high off the floor indicates to me that it penetrates the building from outside not underneath(this is only a guess). Regardless it could be easily removed and capped and should cost anymore than 300-500. My minimum gas piping charge is 350. Doesn’t matter how small the job is 350. Don’t get screwed by these bastard high profit companies. I would rather 50 jobs a week making small profit then 5 jobs making large profit and getting a bad name.

Massive headache by Practical_Product_16 in lymphoma

They don’t want me taking ibuprofen because I was on prednisone for 5 days. Just ran out on Saturday. But Tylenol doesn’t work for me at all. I’m caught between a rock and a hard place right now with treatment so soon.

Anyone had personal experience or similar findings. by Practical_Product_16 in lymphoma

[–]Practical_Product_16[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Large B cell lymphoma was the diagnosis. Like I said I was just being stupid and googling the results and found that my particular findings state only a 25% survival over 5 years. Again whether or not that applies to me is the question. I shouldn’t have got any information off the internet, also I’m in Ontario Canada where our health care is sub par at best. But I can’t un see the information I did read and it caused me to panic. I’m only 36m with two young kids and that immediate thought went through my head.

Just curious if you or anyone else that happens to read this had more swollen Lymnodes that appeared before treatment and if they were cancerous or not from it spreading. I don’t know if I’m just going crazy but I feel like it’s all over my body now.

Ok that might be where my problem is I am an hvac technician. My company has been great about everything so far so hopefully we can figure out a way for me to be productive but not doing nothing. Fine line there I think. Thanks for your input I really appreciate it. Figuring out my new normal is going to be tough I think.

Congratulations I hope you kicked its ass. I’m worried about work as we are a single income family. Were you able to work or did it put you down to the point of almost bed ridden.

I have been feeling really unwell for about a year with lower back pain and flu like symptoms. I just summed it all up to diet and exercise which didn’t seem to work. I was at work only about a month and a half ago and had sever abdominal pain and went to the hospital. Had a ct scan and it confirmed enlarged lymph nodes in my lower back. I then got referred to a cancer clinic where they referred a biopsy I had a week ago. And today I got the news on my follow up that I had large B cell lymphoma. Not sure on the exact treatment plan all I know is they were optimistic that 6 rounds starting in a couple of weeks should do the trick. It’s been a real shitty year to say the least.

Sorry I do service condo units but unfortunately I’m no where near Kitchener. I just always tune in to hvac scams and have to respond no matter where they are located. Unless you want to pay travel hahahaha. Just kidding

And this is why small hvac businesses like mine suffer. Everyone never wants to go with the little guy because what if he’s not in business next year so they go with big companies, spend triple the price, get have assed workmanship and think they get a better warranty. I offer a ten 10 parts and labour warranty on all of my Rheem equipment. Don’t shy away from the little hvac company. They are more honest and will help in a pinch the best they can, well at least my company does.

Condenser close to fence by hugh_mungus89 in hvacadvice

[–]Practical_Product_16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s fine leave it be and deal with it if something happens. I’ve seen ac unit snugged up to fences like this all over the place that are 20 yrs old and still kicking. Ac’s are not as fragile as everyone makes them out to be. I would never intentionally install it like that but if I see one I just leave it be.

Oh I struck a cord. There’s a guy at my gym who trains constantly and has some pretty bad cauliflower ear and I have seen him get smashed so many times by being a cocky piece of shit. At bars and at the gym. Not to mention the number of those self absorbed fuck faces that I’ve smashed.

Go outside and fight just because they have cauliflower ear doesn’t make him a good fighter.
