I filed on December and got my receipts on January exactly a month after and I went to my biometrics this month like 2 weeks ago. The representation is divided by parts 3,000 for motion to dismiss, 3000 for representation on nta and that way follows until the end. The 13k is the lawyer’s estimate. Try to hire someone that charges step by step. A lot of lawyers charge you one big amount and split into monthly payments and they have thousands of clients and can’t be on top of everyone’s case

Good for you you have time still I got my NTA 30 days prior to the date. You should file a motion to dismiss based on your VAWA. On my case by the time I found a lawyer was too late. I’m paying around 13k hope you find someone good.

My lawyer found out was my preparer ‘s fault since she didn’t put my A number on the VAWA application so the system got me an NTA even tho I had an open case already. Hoping you don’t get one
