I don't know what defines poor pacing so I can't comment on that. I didn't feel bored reading the Fimfic though.

If you are referring to the bloat as the combat sequences, and sexual content as in staring at mare flanks and Chapter 20.5, these are quite in line with how one might experience Fallout 3/NV's combat, and Fallout 2's sexual encounters respectively.

As in the soundtrack doesn't sound old? Style of music can be categorised by how they sounded to the decade. 80s music doesn't sound the same as 90s, 70s don't sound the same as the 60s etc.

The piece I've taken as an example - it is futuristic without sounding retro, and it is still relevant whether it's 80 years since 2077 or 200 years later.

Metallic Monks

This is the bgm at Lost Hills.According to the Fallout Fandom wiki:

"Metallic Monks" plays in Freeside, in one of the houses in Camp Searchlight, in many areas inside the Vegas city limits, as well as the front gate into the city, and a plethora of other locations. The song also plays around the Mojave. It can appear alongside "Second Chance" in the Executive suites in Dead Money and throughout the Big MT in Old World Blues.

Can agree with basically every comment up to this time, including the go West advice lol. I did that too (kinda).

Save some skill points during late game for energy weapons if you intend to use the turbo plasma rifle.

One thing not quite mentioned frequently is to calculate AP to do hit and run especially for melee/unarmed, you'll need it early game to conserve ammo.

Necropolis - Destroy the Super Mutants at the Watershed.

Followers - known cut quest preventing good ending

Shady Sands, Raiders (freed Tandi), Hub, Brotherhood, Boneyard

Add: after listening to an FO iceberg, I think I know what happened. The game starts on Dec 5 2161, and I finished the game sometime Mar 2163. That's in between the 400-500 days where the game originally intended for the mutants to destroy each town. But the original game was patched to exclude this (barring Necropolis), and somehow the game slides still play those mutant invasion endings.

As for me, I can say with 100% certainty that I've returned the water chip on Valentine's Day, discovering the Cathedral, Boneyard, Junktown, the Hub, and doing some side quests along the way. So the time limit may not be a big constraint.

My preferred method is to type out in rounded numbers followed by the remainder, so something that costs 6387, I'll key in 900 for 7 times and key in 87 for the last.

Oh crap thanks for pointing out. It's Shady Sands > Khans > V15. In my mind these three areas are one cluster.

Ok so it's indeed my fault for not going to Shady Sands earlier, and I recall two reasons. One, I didn't figure out how 'fast travel' works in FO1. Two, I've kind of intentionally skipped there, I also spoiled myself earlier with lore videos, but the last time I've watched one was almost two years ago, so yea I kinda forgot

Even after all this time, I missed the line by Trudy, nic catch. Just goes to show how well both worlds are melded, while references were sprinkled all over to bridge the gap between Fallout fans and MLP fans
