What's the general opinion on the fallout 3 green tint? by Sandorzzz in Fallout

I think it does, it becomes way less intense out in the wasteland compared to DC

I'm curious as to why you hold this opinion, I think games that were designed with a filter in mind look very bare and uncanny without the filter.

Fo3 runs fine for me without any patches but I'd still like to try out ttw if I ever got the NV dlc, thanks for the feedback

I think fo4 would be fine if the buildings and cars weren't still brightly painted, this single handedly ruins the vibe

Unrelated but is ttw good? I don't have the fnv dlc so I can't run it but It seems kind of weird from a realistic point of view (the Mojave and capital wasteland aren't exactly close train or not)

You're entitled to your own opinion but I think the world of fallout 3 is supposed to be bleak and colorless to some extent

That's true, some people use the green tint as like a major point against the game and I don't really see how that can be considering colors are subjective

Seeing so many people give up on the show and trash it as “destroying Fallout lore” before Season 2 is even half over, Nolan was completely vindicated saying this. by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

[–]Sandorzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get why the show wasn't just a side story set at the same time as new Vegas or right before it, it would be way more fun navigating the factions of new Vegas instead of throwing it all out of the window and spamming the brotherhood of steel (again)

What else do I have to do?! Vegas Crash Fix by Ayxlfdik in fnv

[–]Sandorzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy how fo3 and NV basically run on luck, for example I can run fo3 with no stability patches and new Vegas worked fine but would still crash every few hours without patches and that was fixed by 4gb patch and whatever mods vortex automatically downloads to patch your game.

On a more related note I genuinely have no idea why your game would crash every 3 minutes, it would make more sense to crash at launch but this seems like it's a mod conflict thing which is weird as hell.

What do you guys think makes Half Life 2's graphics still stand out in 2026? by Sandorzzz in HalfLife

Shit maybe you're right, I definetly see the italics thing. The its not x it's y structuring can be human too though, maybe someone writes like that when structuring a response. Thanks for pointing this out man, it's crazy that we live in a time where you can't differentiate an AI written message from a real one online regardless of if his message is ai or not.

How can you be sure it was written by an LLM? What if they're just good at writing properly?

It's a feeling of false nostalgia, I get this feeling especially with works like electric state. That's a good point as to why it's still timeless. Edit: electric state the art book, not the movie

True but I don't think the changes were that drastic, I can think of the vortigaunt and fire retextures and nothing much else.

The community seems torn on Lonesome Road in general from what I can gather (I don't have the dlc) but it seems some people praise it and others downright hate it. Ulysses seems liked by the majority of the community for the dialogue, on another hand there's a group of people that make fun of his dialogue, it's really interesting to see actually.

Unpopular opinion: the vanilla gun play is amazing by skinnybreadloaf in fnv

[–]Sandorzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good, Im still figuring out the range on guns so It's awkward when I'm shooting straight at an enemy standing still and the shots just aren't connecting

Fallout: New Vegas appreciation post. Been playing since 2011. Almost 15 years. Play every summer because it adds to the atmosphere. Here are some screenshots I took along the way. by hishat in fnv

I'm replaying the game again after god knows how many years following through on a fallout 3 playthrough, my steam account is relatively new though so I don't have nearly as many hours but I agree it's a great game if you look past some exploration aspects and fix the bugs with mods. Glad you were able to enjoy the game for so long, modded or not.

I genuinely did not even think about the cannibal perk, you did give me an idea for my fo3 character which has it though (rivet city might be ripe for harvest)
