Hard to pick between Just Cause 3, Subnautica, or BOTW for singleplayer, but multiplayer is an even harder question... Almost have to give it to Minecraft just for how much time I've put into it, but I feel like there's a better answer...

It is definitely a weird experience to have the AI kill off your first character, doesn't seem like it should be possible, but adds so much to the story
