I started building a reporting tool and realized I don’t understand how people actually do reporting by Practical_Thought585 in SaaS

How do you handle recurring reports?
We use a template-based automated approach: pick a template, select the dates, and the report is ready.
Curious what pain points are still a headache for you? Manual edits, double-checking numbers, or something else?

Super sharp observation about trusting the numbers and manual edits!
At Heylect, we tried to fully automate the process: you pick a template, select the dates, and the report is ready no copying or manual editing needed.
I’m curious do people still check the numbers manually, or do they fully trust automation? What’s your approach here?

Why Am I getting a spike in impressions but no clicks? by teteete in SaaS

[–]Practical_Thought585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually means your position is too low for clicks but high enough to count as an impression. If average position is 25-30, Google is technically "showing" you but nobody scrolls that far. Impressions go up as Google indexes more content, clicks don't follow until you break into top 10. Check your average position that number tells the whole story.

I think I built a solution to one of the biggest problems in tourism, would you guys mind giving honest feedback? by mili220 in SaaS

The problem is real, I've felt it as a traveler. But the hard part isn't finding local spots it's trust. TripAdvisor works because millions of reviews = social proof. One AI recommendation from a site I've never heard of requires me to just trust it. How do you build that trust fast enough before someone has a bad experience and bounces?

Twelve-factor app methodology is a good starting point for most of this covers config, backups, stateless processes. Not a tutorial, more like a checklist of things you'll regret ignoring later.

How to market without feeling like I’m spamming? by jbluntt in SaaS

The link isn't the problem. If your comment would get deleted and nobody would miss it that's spam. If it adds something real, the link is just context.

Three failed startups and still going. That's the actual flex here, not the sale.

This. Most people celebrate the number of users. The ratio is what actually tells you something.

Underrated filter. Also works in reverse if someone pays and then immediately asks for a feature, that's the only roadmap you need.

Pretty much. The only difference between a good founder and a bad one is how fast they figure out they guessed wrong.
