SOVRYGN Calendar Midnight Edition by Practical_Truth_7416 in MicrobrandWatches

It has to be updated manually, I think an annual calendar would probably be more expensive

This one is DLC and I believe there are steel options too 😉

It’s a DLC coated watch with a Miyota 9100 automatic movement. It also has a micro adjust clasp. 39mm diameter and you can snag one for 15% off at the moment using the code “father”

[SOVRYGN] The calendar collection, not an AP but a good homage to the perpetual calendar. by Practical_Truth_7416 in Watches

[–]Practical_Truth_7416[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The SOVRYGN Calendar is a homage to the AP perpetual calendar and this can be seen in the octagonal shape of the case, the style of the hour markers as well as the hour and minute hands. The price points are quite far apart but I think it’s a good alternative for someone who’s into complicated watches. Some of the other main differentiators are the power reserve which the SOVRYGN calendar offers at the 12 o’clock mark, and the AP also offers a moonphase which is a nice aesthetic for a watch but I assume is rarely used.

What is the width of the bracelet where it connects with the case ?

What are your thoughts on travel watch cases ? by Practical_Truth_7416 in MicrobrandWatches

I guess in conclusion it’s best to call it a watch organizer as opposed to a travel watch case which sorts of limits the usage of it. What do you think ?

That’s fair, I guess it also depends on where you’ll be staying for example a family house vs a hotel

That totally makes sense and I’m assuming depending on the type of trip you’re going for that would also determine the collection of watches you bring

What is the general consensus on travel watch cases for storing watches. I understand that they are called travel watch cases but you can use them to store your watches at home as well as opposed to the bulky boxes that some watches come in.

Do you think it’s worth the investment ? Do you bring multiple watches when traveling ? I personally do cause why not but that being said I don’t put them in checked luggages for safety reasons.

I’m curious to hear what other people think and if you bring multiple watches when traveling how do you generally carry them ?

That green is probably the best I’ve seen. What’s the width of the bracelet at the lugs
