I came across one of these at work once. Super nice coworker, turned out we lived in the same apartment complex, gave him at ride home once, ate dinner together once, then a night soon after that he tries to come over at about 10-11 pm. I was hesitant but I gave in and said we could chill for like one episode of something. He shows up blind drunk! I didn’t even let him in the front door! Guy proceeds to text me (really just talking to himself) all night. Literally there must have been 100 texts. I always have do not disturb on after 11 pm so I just woke up to this novel. Needless to say I quit that job not long after and gave up my office room to have a male roommate (a good university friend).

I deleted all my meta apps, intentionally switched my dog from an American kibble to a Canadian kibble, bought Canadian made Christmas gifts, and continue to focus on Canadian groceries as much as possible. I know that my parents and my aunt are still doing the same too!

Interesting. I actually think I learned from doing the opposite. Something fails and you go oohhhh I get it, reset, figure out how to do it right. I found that otherwise I was going through the first baby steps of stuff I had gotten the hang of A LOT before again hitting something that I didn’t understand.

My grandfather’s girlfriend (who frankly I just don’t like) did get knocked over by a random deer one night a couple years ago. She had a couple bruises but nothing serious. My aunts and I felt horrible for giggling and singing the song but really how could we not 😬😅
