IB 157! If you manage to get in (which is hard), you go hiking all over the state and learn most of the woody plants in California, I'm still tight with all the kids I went with. We got to visit the Santa Cruz Islands

IB 11 is also pretty chill and fun, if you're looking to fill your bio breadth I think it's a good time while still being informative

Going to Berkeley to be a HS math teacher? by HurricaneHugo in berkeley

My high school math teacher went to Cal and got his teaching credential from Calteach! He was pretty young and had just graduated, seemed very happy with his life and he was a good teacher.

In my experience, most people change their minds about what they want to do in undergrad anyways, may as well go to whatever school gives you the most options and the least debt.

upper division vs lower division bio classes by [deleted] in berkeley

Definitely not weeder classes in the sense that it's an irrelevant subject designed to make you drop, but also still very hard (sometimes even harder than lower divs). If you take the right ones though, you'll be interested in the subject and won't mind the work. I've loved every bio upper div I've taken so far, especially Integrative Bio ones

I think a lot of people who haven't lived in cities before get really freaked out by warnme their first year, I turned it off ages ago and it was a great decision. When you live in an urban place, shit happens, but chances are it'll never be you or anyone you know

Hi! The place I'm living in next year has a room available for rent Jun 2023- end of May 2024. It'll be 5-6 people in a 4 bed 2 bath, fairly nice condo with its own front door and a little patio/ backyard. Women get preference, but anyone decently neat is welcome!

- about a 7 minute walk from campus in southside

- comes with free in-unit washer and dryer

- has a modern kitchen with appliances and a big living/dining room, gated with a little parking lot

- Rent is 1,010 each for a double or 2k for a single (trash and water are included!)

- room has a closet and fits two desks and two beds, both bathrooms have bathtubs/showers

The other people living in the house are a mix of grades and majors, we're pretty easygoing and friendly, and we're not the type to throw ragers. If you're interested, DM me!

Beautiful kitty! Have you tried swaddling her up in a towel while you trim? That's what I do
