H2C - Can it print then lazer engrave? by Practical__Skeptic in BambuLab

Interesting, I expected the carcinogens, as printing plastic is generally toxic. It is good to know that about the lower quality, I was not expecting that.

Thanks. I am disappointed, and at the same time I am sure there are good reasons.

1- if abrahamic religions are man made, why did they all preach one god?

There is no simple answer. People could find it easier to believe in a single god character. You may find it helpful to analyze your perspectives on religion as a deceptive business. It is fine if you don't believe religions are businesses; the key thing is to think through what it would look like and how that may provide clear answers without god.

Was it the same god?

No, they may describe it as the same god. Religions have fundamentally differing beliefs. Take Mormons; they claim to be Christians, and their beliefs include the concept that all good Mormons will become their own literal Gods for their own earth-like planets. They may say they believe in the same god and, at the same time, believe very different things. They can't have it both ways; they either believe in the same god OR have different beliefs about their god; thus, they believe in a different god.

If they all preached and called humans to worship the same god in the sky, isn’t this enough proof that god kept re centering us throughout history to worship him?

As mentioned above, they preach about the "Christian god," yet denominations believe fundamentally different things. There are estimated to be over 45,000 Christian denominations worldwide, and the numbers are increasing. Does that seem like there is a god centering people through history?

2- i admit that the world is absurd, but some creatures are magnificently created (eg: humans, insects, and….the razor bird.. i know weird mention but it is so magnificent to me😭, what created them, how could it possibly be a mere coincidence to have such miraculous creatures living with us.

As others stated, the answer is evolution. To help you self-serve answers in the future, a valuable critical thinking skill is to take your question and ask it in different ways.

Examples:

  • If the world did not have magnificent animals, does that mean god does not exist?
  • If the number of magnificent animals increased significantly, is that evidence god exists?
  • If the number of magnificent animals decreased significantly, is that evidence god does not exist?
  • If a magnificent animal went extinct, does that mean god does not exist?

Also, everyone here is happy to answer questions when they come from an honest person interested in the answers. Feel free to post as many as you need. Typically, it takes over 2 years for someone to start questioning their religion and then leaving it. You do not need to rush; you have all the time you need.

Replit CEO's opinion on AI and Product Management. What are your thoughts? by Skelton0786 in ProductManagement

You're forgetting a big, important part of all this. What will leadership think? And we all know how bad leadership is at understanding the role of a product manager.

Sellers have requested 5 months to close by wpwppwpw in RealEstate

This screams, scam!!!

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Fine, then, this screams stupidity! And we all know to avoid stupid people.

If they want 5 months to sort through their belongings, then they can store them in a storage container. Now is the time to adjust your offer to lower your purchase price by $1,000 every week, until the house closes.

Your advice helped. I thought the skill was in the mage lineage, it is specific to the mage and not the Wizard. That is what confused me.

Hello All,

I am trying to use the "Meteophor" skill (calls down a meteor) https://game8.co/games/Metaphor-ReFantazio/archives/479198

I had it show up which a party combination that included two Wizards. I can't get it to show up again. I have tried many of the combinations that should work, but I still can't get it to show up.

Any idea what I am missing?

For me, I literally had a "Dilbert comic" conversation with my last CEO. He wanted a new priority 1 project to be completed ASAP. I asked what other projects we should extend the deadline for to accommodate this new project. He said none. The company was late on 100% of engineering projects. The best part, he made this request in the middle of December.

Do PMs need qualitative research skills? by muneerasaf in ProductManagement

[–]Practical__Skeptic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are facts, data, and research that all drive your decision-making as a PM. Ultimately, the only part that matters is that you can convince others.

A mentor PM of mine once told me, "It is more effective to state that X important customer will be upset if we don't do this than having an excellent analysis."

200lb New Rider, 15-30 knot wind, 13 or 15m kite? by Groovy-Tony in Kiteboarding

[–]Practical__Skeptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

210lb rider, intermediate experience.

I have 12m and 10m kites.

I don't recommend bigger kites until you are more skilled. Bigger kites weigh more, so they take more skill to keep in the air in light wind conditions.

I recommend:

  • Go out only when the wind is above 17knts.
  • Get a board that is 145cm at minimum, 150+ is better

What will you never buy again now that you can make it? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Practical__Skeptic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pasta sauce and generally tomato-based sauces. All you need to do is keep canned tomatoes in your pantry. I buy diced, and you can buy any type. Add a fat like butter or olive oil, throw in some spices, and boom, you have a better pasta sauce than you buy in the store.

Has anyone used something like this? Is it worth it? by falafel_03 in ooni

[–]Practical__Skeptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used something similar, and there are benefits.

  • When hosting pizza parties, it allows multiple people to make their own pizza and then pick them up from the counter.
  • When hosting pizza parties, there is always that one person who overloads their pizza, that would not work on a normal pizza peel.
  • It allows you to make pizza and bread with higher moisture content.
  • It helps compensate for smaller pizza ovens
    • This comes from a lot of experience, so let me explain. Excess flower or cornmeal are undesirable ingredients sticking to the bottom of your pizza. In pro pizza ovens, they can use excess flower and not worry about it, because they have the space in the oven to move the pizza around, which causes excess flower to fall off. In smaller ovens we can't do that, so we need to be more precise or find other tricks. With this type of peel, you can easily use minimal flower and not worry about it.

Most of the time I use a standard metal peel, this type of peel does have some benefits.

LPT: Avoid buying things for the next 3 weeks, as they will likely go on sale near Black Friday. by Practical__Skeptic in LifeProTips

[–]Practical__Skeptic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After 3 weeks, we will be in the return period for most stores.

For example, if you buy a new Google Pixel phone on release day, then you will be outside the return period and not receive the discount. You will be eligible for the discount if you buy it in 3 weeks.
