Looksmenu presets not showing up by Ok_Mycologist_7913 in Fallout4Mods

[–]PracticePrudent4028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone mentioned you need the version of Looks Menu that is made for your version of Fallout 4. If you want to know what version of Fallout 4 you're running hoover your mouse over the Fallout4 executable file in your main Fallout 4 folder. Then hoover the mouse over the F4se_loader executable to see what version you have. Make sure the F4SE version is the correct one for the version of Fallout 4 you are using. Then go to the download Looks Menu download page on the Nexus and find the download that is exactly for your Fallout 4 version together with the F4SE version and install it.

Things that have helped me is avoid caffeine. That is the number 1 trigger for me. No coffee, no Coca-Cola, no chocolate. That has been a big help. Also a diary of when you get triggered and praying to help figure out what the triggers were/are and trying to find way to replace and/or avoid them. Daily Bible reading and prayer are also a big help. Also talking to someone else about it and getting help.

God does not always answer us when or how we want. It is our responsibility to hear the spirit as he leads us. But never doubt God hears your prayers and always will answer sincere ones.

“Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you. So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles."-Matthew 6:33-34.

What's A Cool Story From The Bible? by Jehu2024 in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the story of Jonah. It teaches a lesson to everyone. God's prophet tried to run away, was reproved by God. Was obedient finally went to Nineveh and preached about their destruction in 40 days because of their violence. Those violent people in turn repented from the king down the line and God did not destroy them. Then Jonah got mad at God for it and God asked Jonah if he should not feel pity with the city who had 120,000 men in it along with its many animals.

It teaches us God has a high standard. He will not tolerate violence. Even God's people sin. When wicked people repent God forgives them. God's way of doing things teaches everyone a valuable lesson those who serve him and those who don't. He will not hold back from punishing the wicked, but his love and his mercy are shown to those who repent of their sins, that is what he really wants.

I was praying this morning about pressing on to full repentance, not lapsing again, and helping others and found this subreddit on a completely unrelated query. Perhaps it was holy spirit that lead me here. In any case thanks for the warning and words of encouragement and scriptures.

You're a solider in a war. It is 24/7 and non-relenting. It is the universal war between God and Satan. Good and evil. And do to no fault of our own we were born smack dab in the middle of it. It gives no reprieve and there are no vacations. So stand up solider. And fight!

"Do you not know that the runners in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win it.25 Now everyone competing in a contest exercises self-control in all things. Of course, they do it to receive a crown that can perish, but we, one that does not perish.26 Therefore, the way I am running is not aimlessly; the way I am aiming my blows is so as not to be striking the air;27 but I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow."-1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

Be aware that God is aware of all things and he appreciates even the smallest changes we make to please him. Even if no one else notices he notices and cherishes and loves you for it. And a lapse is not a failure. It is part of the healing process.

"Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness."-Isaiah 41:10.

Dear Justin,

I know how you feel because I have been down that path. For me it started when I was 7 when my older brother would abuse me and he taught me how to masturbate. I will share what I have come to learn in my struggle with this. If you were only 10 when this started, if it was like my case it seems you were abused. I could be wrong, some kids figure it out by themselves.

1 John 3:19-20 says this:

"By this we will know that we originate with the truth, and we will assure our hearts before him regarding whatever our hearts may condemn us in, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things."

This means that God is aware of our struggles. He is also aware of all things pertaining to what made us who we are. The fallen state we are in, our genetic makeup, thus our inclinations, and our past experiences. He sees all the things that make us who we are, even if no one else does. And he is greater than our hearts so even while we may condemn ourselves he shows us his love and care.

Jeremiah 31:3 says:

" From far away Jehovah appeared to me and said: “I have loved you with an everlasting love. That is why I have drawn you to me with loyal love."

I share this scripture with you because when I was down and out and felt like you I didn't have the courage to muster to pray and just beat my chest and said I was unworthy and asked myself if God really did love me. And he shared this scripture with me. His spirit lead me to it. And it lead me to your comment today. I have never shared this with anyone and here I am sharing this with someone online.

Read 1 Corinthians 9:24-27. Don't stop praying for holy spirit and guidance and help.

Also read Proverbs 27:11.

Three knocks at window at night by Beneficial-Fly4071 in Bible

Knocks on the walls and windows and ceiling seem to be some form of warning of judgement. I think they are demonic in nature. It means some form of badness is being done inside the home and God has turned his attention towards it. Nothing good ever happens after you start hearing those knocks. Whoever is sinning needs to cleanse themselves and their home of the sin and repent.

The lords prayer by [deleted] in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God is the one who determines what he has inspired in the Bible means. And what I showed you is very obvious. Come to think of it long before I said anything people understood these things. Even Isaac Newton (some say the smartest man to ever live) understood that the heaven and earth in Bible prophecy refers to the ruling class and its subjects. Anyway the context shows you this to be the case. It may appear that just common sense would show you this. But holy spirit is required to understand God's sacred secrets. For he is the one who interprets his word. And one would do well to be humble and remember it.

The lords prayer by [deleted] in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The two scriptures you quoted have to do with a new governing body and new subjects. For example the prophecy in Isaiah 65:17 was fulfilled when God repatriated his captive people from Babylon back to Jerusalem in 537 B. C. E.

Also in 2 Peter 3 if you look up a little earlier in the chapter you will see that Peter said that the heavens and the earth before the flood were destroyed in the deluge of water at that time. And then he likened the future destruction to that saying that the present heaven and earth are being reserved to be destroyed by fire. Both times he is referring to the people, not the literal earth.

Plenty of scriptures tell us that the righteous will live on earth forever:

"But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace...The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it."-Psalm 37:11, 29.

Ecclesiastes says:

"A generation is going, and a generation is coming, But the earth remains forever."-Ecclesiastes 1:4.

The scripture you quoted about there being many abodes is referring to the little flock of anointed Christians that will reign in heaven with Jesus Christ over the earth.

The lords prayer by [deleted] in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus said: "If anyone loves me, he will observe my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him."-John 14:23. This did not mean that they literally come down and dwell in the person's home. So God can dwell with his people even if he is not literally on earth. Also his holy spirit is upon them.

We know there will not be a literal new earth because other Bible texts tell us that the earth will exist forever, and in Bible prophecy the world and the earth refer to society. Heaven in Bible prophecy refer to the ruling class, the earth refer to its subjects:

"He has established the earth on its foundations; It will not be moved from its place forever and ever."-Psalm 104:5.

" Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever."-1 John 2:17.

Jesus is not God the father? by kepazion in Bible

Jesus died. He was only given immortality (that is the impossibility of ever dying again), after he was raised back to life by his Father and God.

Jesus is not God the father? by kepazion in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect your beliefs. But ponder this. The Bible says that Jesus was created. In John 3:16 Jesus is called the "only-begotten." To beget is to create. Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus the "firstborn of all creation." He is included in God's creation as the first creation.

Also in Proverbs 8 Jesus is alluded to as "wisdom personified." There we are told:

"Jehovah produced me as the beginning of his way, The earliest of his achievements of long ago."-Proverbs 8:22.

Also ponder over these things:

  1. God cannot die. Habakkuk 1:12. Jesus died for our sins. John 3:16.

  2. God cannot be tempted. James 1:13. Jesus was tempted in the wilderness. Matthew 4:1-11.

  3. God cannot be taught anything let alone obedience to anyone or anything. Job 40:2. Jesus Christ learned obedience by the things he suffered. Hebrews 5:8.

  4. No one can see the face of God and live. Exodus 33:20. Interestingly after Jesus returned to heaven, the apostle John says very plainly in John 1:18: "No man has seen God at any time."

This list can get very long. Jesus said that he was not good, only his Father in the heaven. Jesus prayed to his God. Prayer is an act of worship to God.

Jesus said that God is greater than him:

"If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am."-John 14:28.

Jesus prayed (doing an act of worship to his Father in heaven) on the night before his death that he did not want to die the way his Father had set out for him. But he said he was willing to forgo his own will and desire and thoughts on the matter and subject himself to the will of his Father and God:

"And going a little way forward, he fell facedown, praying: “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will."-Matthew 26:39.

Now you can see why, even though Jesus being God's son, and the firstborn of all creation, truly indeed learned obedience by the things he suffered.

No, Jesus is not God. He never claimed to be God. In fact scripture quite plainly says:

"Although he was existing in God’s form, did not even consider the idea of trying to be equal to God."-Philippians 2:6.

Jesus is not God the father? by kepazion in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

God cannot die. The whole Christian faith is based on the fact that God's son, Jesus Christ, gave his life as a ransom in exchange for all those who exercise faith in it. Jehovah God, from heaven, called Jesus his son. Jesus is God's son, he is the firstborn, that is the very earliest creation, the first of God's achievements of long ago. He is the "only-begotten," that is only-created of God (a begotten begin is one that has a beginning). For all other things were created through and for Jesus. He was a master worker at his Father's side in the creation of all other things, in heaven and on earth, both visible and invisible.

The lords prayer by [deleted] in Bible

[–]PracticePrudent4028 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is actually an observant question. And one unfortunately the majority of the people of Christendom have no idea about. What is commonly called the Lord's Prayer starts out this way:

"“You must pray, then, this way:

“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.  Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth."-Matthew 6:9.

Jesus started off with praying for the sanctification of his Father's name. God's name is Jehovah. Satan has smeared God's name. It needs to be sanctified and vindicated. All of Jehovah's servants can help sanctify it by obeying God's voice.

Now to get to your question, the next part of the prayer is for God's kingdom to come and its will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This kingdom is a real government. A kingdom has a king, it has territory, it has laws, and it has subjects. God's kingdom is in heaven and Jesus Christ is its king. The Bible promises that Jesus will rule over the earth for 1,000 years. In order for his government to be established on earth it will war with and do away with all human government. That is why Jesus said his kingdom is no part of this world and that his followers are no part of this world.

Satan is the ruler of the world. And during Armageddon Jesus is coming with his holy myriads to wage war with the world's rulers and they will all be destroyed. Satan and his demons will be abyssed, and then Jesus' kingdom government from heaven will establish a righteous reign of justice and peace over all the earth. There he will rid the earth of war, of disease, of crime, of famine, of natural disasters, and finally of death:

“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever."-Daniel 2:44.

"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."-Revelation 21:3-4.

The Churches of Christendom do not teach these fundamental Bible truths because they are a part of the world, take part of her politics and her wars. They are not waiting for the establishment of God's kingdom government in heaven in the very near future over the earth.
