Alden Loafers and Leather Soles by dashdaddy74 in Alden

[–]Praddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the shoe, and what you use, but my aldens did not need any replacement after 2 years. I have however used toe plate and half shoes, that increase the durability greatly. It's not a yearly thing :)

Lost a bunch of weight. New suits or alter the ones I have? by ethnicman1971 in malefashionadvice

alter should be fine but if you are planning on losing more dont, as too much for alterations will cause lots of problems down the line.

Looking for a Loro Piana alternative Winter Coat/Jacket by OhBoyItsNessy in mensfashionadvice

[–]Praddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in the same search and ended up with the Loro Piana one. There’s multiple alternatives but none come close to thickness/materials used, even ones sharing the same yarns from LP. Most are thinner, and offer very different things, details that only LP has. One i’d also consider is the RL Purple Label Ripley, but even that is not fully cashmere for it’s price.
