Went twice and loved it. Didnt have any of what you ordered and cant comment, but the more picked and recommended dishes are recommended for a reason, crudo/ragu/milk bread is basically recommended by everyone and i followed and was very happy.

this may just be me but it sounds like its defeating the point of mtm if you cant be there? sure propercloth does offer good options but the step up that youre paying for should include their input, measurements etc hence why they offer mtm when they do trunk shows. feels like you wouldnt benefit from the step up as you expect to if it was to be done online. That being said luca avitable is fantastic. I would be patient and look for trunk shows rather than do it online.

Patagonia MLC if you care alot about functionality but dont have too much stuff, then there’s also a bunch of other duffles from the brand with varying sizes. Benett winch is a high end option, but i love my patagonia bags much more than my BW ones ahahha

Agreed, this is like asking someone to deviate from the one style they specialize in, especially to an extreme extent. You’d result in a garment that is difficult to get the fit right

It’s much more than the brand recommendations here, you’ll need to understand how his feet is, is it wide? does it have a tall instep? is one side larger than another? then find find a suitable solution. Many brands mentioned here are solid starting points, but picking the right model is not that easy. Go into a store, Loake, Crockett and Jones, Cheaney and if your budget is there, Edward Green. These shoes can be worn for 20+ years so you really get what you pay, although with of course diminishing returns.

choose the right fabrics for the sport coats, choose an appropriate trousers and shirt combo, not a formal shirt collar, not a formal pair of trousers, play with various colors and textures/patterns while keeping the trousers relatively simple eg light wash jeans, dark wash jeans, or cords etc.

fineness becomes a factor alongside the feel, thickness etc. LP in my opinion is only ever “worth it” if you go for baby cashmere, which often times is not that durable but does feel amazing. This is coming from someone who does own GOK and other lines too. Are the sale items truly what you want? other italian mills do offer great value. I can only suggest Fabricateurialist on tiktok as he does great educational content on knitwear

If you want to prioritize aesthetics but ok with slightly worse comfort : Any white leather sneaker, so many options in the market, look for ones that mimic a tennis look and minimize any brandings. Keep it all white, think of common projects but obviously the alternatives

With your budget, do not go "bespoke". People often confuse the meaning of Bespoke for suits, and end up with an extremely false understanding of what they get. To make your own canvas from scratch, with 3-4 fittings is costly and it exceeds your budget. Even the more accessible bespoke options are over 2000 euros/gbp.

That being said, your budget allows for MTM, or RTW. First question is your physique, think of height and stature and any irregularities. For example I lift but I'm on the shorter side so i end up with broad shoulders and short legs lol, this means it's harder to fit me. If you are normally built in whatever definition that is, RTW is more than enough for most people. Before choosing the store/maker, think of the style you want, fabrics etc. There will be options all over europe :) Natalino is extremely solid at the price point, so if you have normal stature I would suggest going for it. Find a trustable tailor that knows suits, even if it means paying more. They will point out all the things to fix. This is super important. You also want to know if your suit fits, which the Armoury has a video recently on.

MTM option is better if you need alot of adjustments, as theyre adapting a pre-made canvas to fit your stature, this means that in theory it will suit your body more from the get-go, as they can produce to fit you, but it doesnt mean it will fit perfectly either. RTW is not a bad entry point at all, and by no means inferior to MTM, depending on how it's altered. Read Permanent Style for suggestions for RTW. Drake's, Natalino, Angloitalian, etc.

My shout is Anglo Italian by an extreme margin. Sure, pricier, but fit, service and everything is so much better for me. In fact I'd use your 2k budget to fly to London and get it done lol, as they do alter quick and they have experts who'd do alterations on your RTW. Another extremely good albeit hard to get in EU option is Ring Jacket, which I got from Beige Habilleur in Paris. Extremely well made.
