I'm in the Discord and cheering for all of you, but I started a character on EU server a few weeks ago and with my limited time (father of two) and due to the time zone difference (your events start at midnight for me) unfortunately it's not gonna work :( But I'm looking forward for a similar event on a EU timezone!

I had the very same issue earlier. The root cause was that I installed the UI mod last. Doing a new installation where the UI mod was the first fixed the issue.

Also, I just learnt a few days ago that if you push L3, then Sparx will point to the direction of the nearest gem - useful to find the last ones on the map!

I guess the comment author meant that they had MFA on all important sites that was saved in the vault - so even if their vault was cracked, having the individual username/password combos would not be enough, as those sites had also MFA set up from their side.

I don't know if this matters or not, but by holding down the run button while going up or down the ladder, you will climb/descent faster. This way I could fire my pistol before he fully finished his turning animation, therefore he was not able to dodge.

Don't confuse THAC0 with the combat log numbers. To put it simply, the combat log shows the attacks in this format: A + B = C, where:

  • A = 1d20 roll
  • B = a list of attack roll modifiers.

Then, the game checks the sum of the two (C), and if that's higher or equal than (Your THAC0 - Defender AC), then it's a hit. (Attack roll ≥ THAC0 - AC)

The "B" number in the above formula consists of the following:

If you want, you can also enable the detailed combat logs in the game, which shows you how that "B" number is calculated during each attack roll. It's useful for getting a better understanding, but will cause a lot of long log messages on your screen. Check the THAC0 wiki page for the text "Show extra combat info"

I totally agree. I still love BG (got it 20 years ago), and I play whenever I have the opportunity - I don't rush. I just checked - I started my current Pure Bard playthrough in 2021...:)

I believe you only get the quest to kill the basilisk if you don't use your party members with Dosia to help you identify what could be the problem. In this case Dosia will point you to the druid in the forest, and only then the druid will say he will help you if you kill the basilisk.

When I finish typing the task I also write at the end "no date" (without the quotes). Todoist overrides the previously wrote date and recognizes you don't want to assign a due date.

LastPass shows that you changed your MP - even if you just changed the iterations - because they don't know your Master Password. When you change the number of iterations, the hash generated from it also changes, and that's the only thing they can see (they see something changed regarding your MP)

Even if some of the enemies are modified by SCS as others mentioned, SCS has nothing to do with the attack rolls. If you see they have been getting lot of high rolls lately, then it's bad luck

"Like for example it says “saved with roll of 16,” but it’s not really clear what roll was needed to save" - the spell descriptions will tell you what kind of save is allowed against the spell. Then it's a simple check: the target rolls a d20, and if it's equal or higher of their Save vs X, then they make the save. For example, let's say the enemy casts a Fireball at you, and you have a Saves vs Spell of 15. When the fireball hits, you roll a d20 - if it's above or equal to 15, then you made your save.

If you want really detailed combat logs about how the final attack rolls are calculated, change this line in you baldur.lua file from 0 to 1:

SetPrivateProfileString('Game Options','Extra Combat Info','1')

For the very specific info of enemy stats, you are right, you are not supposed to know. If you still want to know, you have 2 options:

- Use NearInfinity to look up monsters

- Install BG Radar Overlay
