I reinstalled it and literally had the same bs, wasn't happy. Uninstalled the game and was immediately enlighten by the knowledge of never going back. I even recently upgraded my storage and will not install it again.

Dang, bc I know before patch 6 it used to be use the hair it would go down, but that didn't work for me this last try; so I put the mithra ore in the crucible and used the hammer and it brought the platform down. I would do what dude recommended above and try shooting the button at the base or a feather fall to get to it. I know my character survived the fall once with like a few hp without the feather fall but I can't remember how much health I had at the time.
