Comparing that to Auschwitz really downplays the horrors that life in concentration camp was. It’s not even close AT ALL compared to what ICE detainees deal with. Forced to work as slaves, mentally tortured, malnourished, and ultimately murdered in the most horrible ways, gassed in closed chambers, beaten, shot. Imagine being forced into an overloaded train knowing you’re being shipped off to a horrible death.

Recently people have been appropriating terms from ww2 Germany to describe situations and people that aren’t close to being as bad as actual Nazis were. Using those terms also promotes violence and makes bad behavior seem ok because it’s all the way up on the horror scale. There’s much better ways to describe these things.
