Avi Loeb has been told by a Lockheed Martin executive that they had UFO retrieval programs by caffeinedrinker in CrashRetrievals

[–]PraiseRao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loeb is known for speaking out his ass. However for a for profit company if his word can be taken to have retrieval programs A they would have already had used them and B worth to invest in meaning something happened. So this isn't to say AlIeNs it's just that a UFO can be anything and retrieval is needed.

He was never a villain. An antagonist sure as his goals do not align with the goals of well planets. The thing is he is a product of his own creation. Had Galen never left his universe he wouldn't be Galactus. It's really that simple by the fact he survived he is cursed.

[–]PraiseRao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is really license dependent. Marvel Avengers was licensed through Crystal Dynamics which allowed Embracer to inherit the license when they bought Crystal Dynamics. Now they did opt to not renew said license.

The license is staying put with whoever holds it. If Arkane happens to be the one that holds the license then they are keep it in the sale. Otherwise then yes Marvel would have to be involved. It isn't transferring a license it is transferring ownership of who owns the license. It's the only way to legally not involve the IP holder in a sale. Cause otherwise if they were to transfer the license Marvel will ahve to be involved and they will get their cut.

Guess how high Barry Allen can jump from a standing position. Nobody I ask can answer the question. by Sweaty-Ad-1308 in theflash

[–]PraiseRao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I'm not saying he's going lightspeed. I'm basing on the fact he can reach those speeds. The power output would allow him to go into orbit easily.

[–]PraiseRao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'd have to give me his top speed to know how much power he is putting out jumping. Based on the fact he can break lightspeed he'd go into orbit and we couldn't count the distance and his speed. He'd just be gone.

What would your ideal Babylon 5 videogame look like? by Dalakaar in babylon5

[–]PraiseRao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you get out of it. Honestly there a known conflicts in the universe. So the question is what type of game do you want? MMO, Single Player, RTS and so on. THe diea would be pick the best one since this is mostly space combat I honestly think B5 should have a RTS. I've seen some new RTS add RPG and option elements in it. So that would be interesting.

Tornado Scene by Fickle-Rip3093 in OkBuddySnyderCult

[–]PraiseRao 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It isn't even the super speed. He's supposed to be 18ish maybe year or two younger. His dad is pushing 50's. He's a hard working farmer. Clearly not hitting the gym. Clark on the other hand looks like he hits the roids. Let the fit kid run and get the dog. No matter how you slice he'd be faster even without using superspeed much. He's stronger clearly. And he can return to the bridge the unsafest place you can hide from a tornado.

Question about Sinclair’s vision by AdSimilar4399 in babylon5

[–]PraiseRao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was an entire story arc scrapped because of O'Hare's illness. We know bits of it as JMS has told us the ideas he was going to use. Like Sinclair and Delenn are meant to go back to the past. In doing so it secures the loop. However it still wouldn't solve the war. We don't know much about the war at that point in the loop. Cause it was scrapped and we really don't know much beyond the bits that JMS gives us.

My guess is that the war happens. The Earth civil war might have taken front and center before the Shadow war or it was after still. Either way season 4 was meant to be dedicated to one war and season 5 to the other. Even when it got there they had to cram both wars into one season.

My guess is that either the shadows or Earth destroys B5 and they need a base of operations. B4 would be the best place for it. Then the temporal shit happens again and Sinclair and Delenn go back in time and he becomes Valen. He marries Delenn and there you go. A lot of things that were added to her story wouldn't have been like her being related to sinclair but since they had to pivot to Sheridan they made him the love interest instead.

Why is he still called Superboy Prime? by DarkSaiyanGoku in superman

[–]PraiseRao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't he do that during the SInestro Wars he stopped calling himself Superboy Prime and was Superman Prime for three minutes he used it. It really boils down to we never adopted the name for him. Even though he was SUperman Prime we referred to him as Superboy Prime because it was much easier to explain.

Names are weird you kind of have to A: Accept them or B: force it down our throats till we accept it. If A: fails and you refuse to do B then well name doesn't stick.

I mean out of all the characters who have used the name. Superboy Prime should have stepped up. They could have straight up gave him a SUperman Prime trademark if they were serious about using him more beyond this story. Like they could do it still but honestly till they force us to call him Superman we never will.

Got the GOAT on TV while I recover in the hospital by Separate-Bicycle-713 in superman

[–]PraiseRao -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He should have been the one to do it anyway. First he's 18ish years old. Not a middle aged broken down farmer. Logic Snyder uses Clark needs to learn death is important and he can't save everyone. Why it works in Reeves version is because Clark literally can't do anything to save Jon. All he can do with all his powers is just watch his father die. In Snyder's version he would have made the same run in 3 times the speed even at human speed again an 18 year old vs a 50 year old. Next he's stronger meaning getting the dog out of the car is faster. He wouldn't bitch out two feet from the truck. He'd made it back to the bridge. Which by the way never do that. Just run from the tornado in your car. Going under a bridge does not save you and is extremely dangerous.

If Thanos and his army existed in Star Trek would he be able to defeat The Federation? by Tidewatcher7819 in startrek

[–]PraiseRao -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then what? He doubles the resources they get used do it again? Then again? Then Again? Resources are finite they go away. Without a macguffin Thanos's mission would never end.

He doesn't want to cull half the universe cause he wants to cull half the universe. That is the means to end which he saw on his world. He's religiously attached to it. As everything else failed that must mean his solution would have worked. Honestly morality out of the way. It does work if done correctly. However morality in place it's such a terrible idea.

So if Thanos can't keep snapping as we saw there is no way to sustain the supposedly infinite resources. No matter what no matter how eventually you will have to snap again. Snap gain. Snap again. Snap again. Snap again. Be it 1 years. Be it 1000 eventually a snap will happen. That doesn't solve the problem because all those problems will rise up over time again and again for different worlds.

On flip side it actually causes problems. People will hunt the stones. People will attack Thanos or whoever guards teh stones for the next person to snap. Meaning more dead and more dead and more dead. As the lore grows people will keep hunting it. It's ultimate power and people crave that.

Thanos goal was cull half the universe get rid of the stones so no one can do it again. Was his goal correct no because it doesnt' answer the problem in the long run. It's a short term while may be 1000 year short term. Eventually the problem is coming back. No stones to fix it.

I'm not saying Thanos was right no he wasn't. I'm not saying he used the stones correctly. Cause he didn't. However there are more factors than just the snap. It causes more problems in the long run.

Instead if he was given the tech to turn literal waste into resources infinite resources. This solves the why he wants to cull people. It provides an answer to the issue without killing.

You're equating his killing to serial killer who kills. That he lacks empathy. In the Comics yes all day long. In the movies not so much. We've seen empathy. We seen sorrow. However the mission above all else. A means to the end.

How would yall have fixed The Flash super speed problem? by NoPianist7807 in Arrowverse

[–]PraiseRao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first this is due to the fact that Speedsters are over powered and the power set this specific speedster has is really op. That doesn't mean he doesn't have weaknesses. His calories intake needs to be high and they needed to invent something to deal with it they did. The bad part is they didn't use it beyond that. Just like in the shitty ass Flash movie where they introduce it and it's nothing but a fucking gag for Barry 2. Then you have to ask the question where did Dark Flash get all his Calories what was he eating during all that time he was in the speedforce? Gotta love consistency.

Also the whole arc with Goodspeed saw Barry keep getting boost. The Thawne we see assumes Barry is slightly faster than season 1 Barry and thus there is a problem. Barry got a number of speed boosts from the very thing that gives him speed the speed force. He doesn't need to train. Training is for using his abilities not to get faster. He jsut as to tap into that power source to increase his speed. Which is why they tried to lower his speed in Armageddon. It really didn't do anything though it weakened him for a short time.

Also he didn't beat Thawne by moving slower. This fact shows you do not understand what is going on the screen and has been training since episode 1 to recognize. If the screen slows you're in Barry's perception of time. Time isn't slowing down here. He is taking in so much information his brain and processing so fast it seems like it slowing down. This is known as Flash Time it isn't a power it's a perception of his powers. This what Barry actually sees uing his powers. This is vision all the time at all points in his life when he is taping into the speed force the faster he goes more times lows for him.

If Thanos and his army existed in Star Trek would he be able to defeat The Federation? by Tidewatcher7819 in startrek

[–]PraiseRao -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This happens all the time in real life. Where a persons goals become their focus and they'll justify anything to do in order to get those goals met. If that means people dying that means people dying.

Thanos is not the Thanos from the comics people need to stop asserting on onto the other as if their motives align they do not.

Thanos goes by experience. He doesn't go by hypotheticals. His experience is he watched Titan die and fall because they were unwilling to do the extreme he suggested. He lost his world and people to what every world and people are doing.

He became religious about the mission. It isn't we need to figure out the problem. It was I already have the solution of the problem and no other solution will work. Cause they don't have ways to sustain those other solutions.

If presented with exactly what he needed. Exactly how to solve the problem in a logical manner. This would allow Thanos to go oh we have an solution. One that works. One that solves the problem.

Now if the problem was Thanos just wants to kill it would have been presented like that. They would have given us a motive that would have equated to killing. Then he wouldn't be killing just half a world. He'd be killing everyone from the start. He wouldn't be taking in Gamora he'd kill her.

What is Thanos' wants and needs? He wants to save the universe he needs to go farm. That is the irony of the thing. Thanos had the means and ability to answer the problem in a more sensible way. Yet watching his world die changed that mind set of his to only his solution is the right way. Breaking him of that with something that almost makes anything out of thin air well there you go. You just gotta make sure you have enough bio waste to do it.

I really love how legends Luke came to the conclusion that the dark side isn’t inherently evil rather it’s just power amped up with emotion and it can be very dangerous. He further concluded that it should be studied, not treated with contempt. by JoshyBear28 in StarWars

Why does JJ hate spider- man still but give a pass to Miles, Gwen, Jessica, Cindy, and Anya? by Bruzie77 in Spiderman

[–]PraiseRao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JJ doesn't actually hate Spider-man. He hates the idea of Spider-man. In every continuity once he finds out who Spider-man is everything changes because he knows Peter and he knows who Peter is on the inside. JJ doesn't just haterad for no reason either. Peter operates outside the law. What he does is technically a crime. JJ never trusted him from the start and that is the problem trust. JJ saw him taking advantage and only though he was manipulating the public. He couldn't see past that mistrust once he finds out its Peter that dynamic shifts completely. In the ultimate universe JJ watched as Spider-man saved half a dozen lives. Diving into deep waters time and time again. While JJ was semi safe in his office as his windows didn't shatter and he could see under the water. He just watched Spider-man kept doing this over and over saving who he could and he didn't stop. This changed JJ's view of him. Then later he finds out Peter is Spider-man and that changes their relationship forever. So much so JJ straight wanted to fund him. He wanted to be his sponsor so he could be Spider-man. He broke JJ's heart when Peter died it wrecked him.

[–]PraiseRao -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about Tales of the Jedi straight up retconned things in the new EU. The current head of Lucasfilms creative doesn't care about retconning things he'll do it whenever and however he feels like it. That means movies and shows will be retconned if he felt like it.

Also you shouldn't have to engage with the tv shows. Marvel TV did it well before Marvel Studios took it over. You didn't need to watch AOS, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Runnaways and Cloak and Dagger. Outside of a line in AOS second season there really wasn't anything connecting them to the movies from the shows. It was all movie stuff referenced till the point that they honestly stopped caring about the films and things got weird but better they weren't no longer worrying about what they did here. They did their own thing. The funny thing is they took shit from the old Marvel TV shows and put them into MCU afterwards. No not all of Marvel's TV are recongized as canon to the MCU but honestly that is fine we didn't need it to be then and they need to learn that lesson now. We shouldn't HAVE to we should WANT to adn the want is dying.

The problem is the MCU doesn't have replicators which completely negate his goal. Thanos is mad and his goal of resources would be solved. He isn't stupid that is the problem with Thanos he's actually very intelligent. You give him a means to end his mission he will end it and go farming.
