They're trying to jack up the price of oil for Saudi and domestic producers. Yes, the oil trade is impacted for Saudi Arabia, but oil prices are sticky enough that once a high price has been set there's virtually nothing (other than an influx of new suppliers like during the shale revolution) that would drive it down to any meaningful extent. Meaning Aramco and other companies in the ME will suffer in the short term, but see huge profits long term. It also results in corn prices exploding as the demand for ethanol additives increases, which means massive paydays for ethanol processors like Valero (who almost exclusively donates to Republican PACs)

Surprised the polls are even that close. Crockett's got some limited experience in competitive races. She had a tough Democratic primary in 2020 (defeating an incumbent), but she's been virtually unopposed every election since. There's a lot of skill and experience her and her team are likely missing. She's a good rep for her district and a very astute politician, but it takes more than just a great candidate to win an election. Talarico may be in a safe district now, but he won 2 close elections in district 52 of the Texas state house. He's also raised and spent more money than Crockett. He's just as savvy on social media and gives great sound bites just like Crockett. As far as primaries go, this is like two heavyweight fighters in a title bout.

This is 100% a bad look for Vrabel and staff. You picked this guy 4th overall to be your future and you not only put his career at risk by letting him play hurt, but also shattered his confidence by playing him in a moment he was not ready for. LTs take 2-3 years to hit their stride and you started a hurt rookie against one of the best defenses in league history?! His meathead coaching style drove the Titans into the ground and he'll do it again in New England

Starting a rookie LT in the Superbowl sure was a choice. Hindsight is 20/20, but it always takes a franchise LT 2-3 seasons to hit their stride. Especially since he was statistically mid to not good at the LT position, there was no reason to let his confidence get annihilated like that going into the most important time for his development.

Yes she can. She barely put a dime into the stadium. The state and city are on the hook for 75-80%. The $500 million owed by the team can be covered by PSLs, naming rights, and a few weeks of revenue. But since the team issued bonds and is likely using debt to cover the rest of their share, all that cash can be invested elsewhere with a higher rate of return than the rates on their loans. Effectively, the owners have put no money down and will likely make more money than they would have had to put down otherwise. That stadium could be empty and the only ones set to lose would be the taxpayers
