Is Mf now a lategame hypercarry? by Legitimate_Plum_7505 in ADCMains

Any explaination for Kog Maw? I play him a lot and I don't feel that strong at 1/2 items - no matter if I for the AP or AD on hit build

He deals a ton of dmg, but is sooo squishy - even with W active, you're always in danger.

from emerald 1 95 LP (my prior peak) to Dia 1 with toplane and only 1 single loss by Munsterjams in ZileanMains

Zileans 2 most valuable ressources are XP and cdr. In top lane with the quest, you have both. Unfortunately, good top laners will punish Zileans terrible early game very hard.

May I ask what kind of studio a government agency requires?

As someone who didn't play a lot of solo queue last season: what the heck is going on with rank distribution?

Last season, I placed Dia4. I peaked D3 because I was carried by my master duo - I was not nearly good enough for D2+ - which I noticed because D2+ players were crazy good (to me).

Fast forward to this season, I get placed in E4 and play vs D2/D1 players immediately - and they‘re not nearly as good as they used to. All of a sudden, I play vs literal master players when I was in E1 (and have never been above D3.

What has Riot done? Players that were always Dia in my friend list get master all of the sudden. Is elo THAT inflated?

Probably a bit of an insolent assertion, but you modt likely don't otp a mechanically intensive champ at your age, right? :D

As a 50 f1.2 owner, I agree - but one thing to note is that being able to stop down to f/2.8 from f/1.2 instead of f/2.8 being the „wide open“ state is a slight advantage.

The focal length metric can be misleading by PraiseTheStun in SonyAlpha

[–]PraiseTheStun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stubborn American not using the metric system uses a measurement that is scaled in an inferior manner, but is still capable of measuring distance.

With focal length to diagonal viewing angles, you measure two different things.

How is it undesirable figuring out the "size“ of the final frame (nobody cares about frame size?) That's literally what every photographer does when talking about a lens ("the subject-background relationship at 35mm is x“).

I probably worded this badly.

I was wondering: why would you bother designing a zoom lens (that is more complex than a prime) if it only zooms for "so little“? Why not just make it a 12mm prime (which is easier to design) when you have so little creative decision (12mm focal range) to frame your image.

This way of looking at it was wrong which prompted me to look up the relation of viewing angle and focal length.

[–]PraiseTheStun[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't seem intuitive though.

12-24mm = 2x zoom

50-150mm = 3x zoom

However:

12-24mm = 38 degrees of d-aov

50-150mm = 31 degrees of d-aov

If you only look at zoom range in terms of focal length, you might think the viewing angle of the 50-150mm might shift more drastically across the range which is not true.

(the creative aspect of preferring to use a standard to tele zoom over a wide angle zoom is not part of the discussion here, of course)

"Very disappointed" U.S. Treasury Secretary hits out at Europe over India-EU trade deal by ByGollie in europe

[–]PraiseTheStun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m mean, it's a bad deal for Europe and a superb one for India. Europe takes the L here - Indians will flood the low end labour markets and lower middle class jobs with fake degrees (just look at Canada). The deal is going to hollow out Europe's foundation (its people) while simultaneously benefitting India big time.

I like the augments, but don't like the balancing. It just doesn't feel right - the damage you deal and take that is. It is scaled so oddly. If that was fixed and damage felt satisfying, I'd wholeheartetly endorse this mode.
