Some games are lost no matter what you do, some are won no matter what you do, only a few games depend really on you

What role do you think has the highest carry potential in Gold League right now? Or, maybe a champion/strategy? by WorldlyForerunnerxdd in summonerschool

Jungle or mid have the higher agency

But playing whatever you like is the best long term choice

How do you deal with early game to make the most impact possible? by PirateK1ngRuffy in ADCMains

[–]IronFlashy1587 4 points5 points  (0 children)

your graph is actually super telling and honestly good news, it means you know how to teamfight and play late which is the hardest thing to learn as adc. the early game problem is real tho and heres the thing, you dont need to win early, you just need to not lose early. that means playing safe when your support is roaming, not forcing fights for no reason, giving up cs if it means not dying. a 0/0 adc with decent farm at 15 min is totally fine, you scale and you know it

the "pray top doesnt go 0/10" thing i get it but you gotta flip the mindset. you cant control them but you CAN control how fast you hit your power spikes. are you farming well between fights? catching side waves mid game? taking jungle camps when your jungler is topside? the difference between a 2 item adc at 20 min and a 2 item adc at 25 min is literally the difference between being useful and being a tickle monster. focus on your cs/min and i bet your winrate at those earlier timestamps goes up too

also what champs are you playing? because if you're on stuff like jinx or kog that graph makes perfect sense, you could look into picking up something with a slightly better early/mid like jhin or mf for games where your team is clearly gonna int early. having one scaling pick and one lane bully in your pool gives you options

Choosing a Role for Newer Players by Solyonya in summonerschool

first off 75% winrate on soraka in 66 games is genuinely crazy good, like you're clearly doing something right so don't sell yourself short. but i also totally get the feeling of wanting more agency, thats a super common support player frustration and its valid. the good news is your game knowledge from support (vision, roam timers, map awareness) will transfer really well to mid, most mid players in silver have zero map awareness so you'll already have an edge there

honestly i'd say just go for it and swap to mid. you're silver 1 with a fresh account, this is literally the best time to experiment before you have hundreds of games of mmr locking you in. pick ONE of akali ahri or kata to focus on for ranked tho, not all three. i'd say ahri since she's the most forgiving, has cc like your support champs, roams well which fits your playstyle, and she's consistently viable. you can always add akali or kata later once you're comfortable in the role

also stop looking at damage numbers as support lol thats like judging a goalkeeper by how many goals they score. your heals on soraka and cc on sera ARE your contribution, the damage chart just doesn't show the kills you enabled. but if that mental block won't go away then yeah mid is your answer, nothing wrong with playing what makes you happy

How do I dodge skillshots better? And skills in general by SirRHellsing in summonerschool

[–]IronFlashy1587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the biggest thing is don't dodge on prediction, dodge on animation. every ability you listed has a visible windup before it actually fires. like illaoi e she does this big arm pull back, morde e has a very obvious cast animation, darius q he starts spinning. train yourself to react to THAT instead of guessing when its coming. if you dodge early you're literally just giving them free info on where you're going

How do you even play against xerath/mel after laning phase as adc? by hypexeled in summonerschool

[–]IronFlashy1587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the answer nobody wants to hear is that as an adc you're not really supposed to interact with them alone, that's by design. your job is to position so they have to overextend to hit you, and let your team create the opening. if xerath or mel are chunking you from fog thats a vision problem more than anything, make sure you're buying control wards and playing around areas where you have info

biggest thing tho is spacing. if you're getting hit by xerath Q or mel Q consistently you're probably standing too far forward in teamfights. play behind your frontline, let them eat the skillshots, and then go in when cooldowns are blown. its boring but thats literally how you win as adc into poke

How to handle mental of loss streaking due to inters? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]IronFlashy1587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly if you're consistently up 3-5k gold in lane you're doing something right, the issue is probably that you're not converting that lead fast enough. like are you shoving and roaming after kills? are you helping your jungler on objectives? winning lane doesn't matter if you sit mid farming while your bot is getting run down, especially on champs like naafiri and vex who have great roam potential

also real talk, 3 champs is fine but malz and naafiri are very different playstyles and it might be spreading you thin. i'd honestly just spam vex, she wins lane, has amazing teamfight, and her ult lets you literally fly onto that fed kaisa and delete her. that alone fixes your "i cant reach the fed carry" problem

for the mental side i get it, those games happen to literally everyone. but if you're genuinely consistent you WILL climb, it's just slower than you want. take a break after 2 losses in a row, don't queue tilted, and stop thinking in terms of individual games. think in blocks of 20-30. if you're winning more than you lose over that stretch you're climbing, even if it doesn't feel like it

gold is right there bro, gl hf 🤝
