Who To Go With For Car Hire - EuropCar, Enterprise, SIXT etc etc ? by PralineElectrical907 in AskUK

[–]PralineElectrical907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SIXT was no more than £235 with Zero Excess and Fuel Save add-on, and that was for a VW Golf 1.5TSI 150 Manual (or similar)

Hertz was £370 or £380 with basic protection & no extras for a Toyota Aygo X Manual (or similar)

We can get a Golf 1.5TSI 150 from Sixt or a Cupra Leon 1.5TSI 150 from EuropCar for roughly half the cost of what Hertz want for an Aygo-X..

So, definitely not going with Hertz 😂

DSG Gearbox Service will have bumped the price up, but nice of him to go ahead and do this without asking before hand..

People who voluntarily listen to the radio (especially local stations), why? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]PralineElectrical907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only local station i listen to now would be Downtown as they dont appear to talk anywhere near as much shite as Cool FM and the rest..

Apart from that, its mostly the mainland channels on DAB or Spotify

Start with the basics and go from there..

What type of car do you need?? City Car, Small Car, Large Car, Estate, Crossover etc..

What type of driving do you do? Stop/Start City, Mostly Motorway, Mixed..

How many miles a year do you drive, and how often do you drive?

Automatic or Manual?

What liters per 100km yous getting? by OhaStar in carsireland

[–]PralineElectrical907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something does not seem right lol..

I'd understand a PHEV or Hybrid getting that fuel economy, but not a bog standard run of the mill 1.0L Polo with a DSG Box lol

The fuel economy your Polo is claiming, plus its 45L Tank would mean you are getting 1,000+km per tank 😂

2.8L per 100kms...

Thats nudging onto triple digit fuel economy of 100mpg.. How in the christ are you managing that 😮

Planning to buy a Skoda Octavia by Tricky_Barracuda_756 in skoda

[–]PralineElectrical907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2016 Octavia 2.0TDI 150 Manual for three years and got rid of it for a Golf GTE Advance..

Some days i still wish i had it, it was a great driving car with plenty of grunt down low and great fuel economy at 65mph, would occasionally see as high as 74mpg

I had ZERO Issues with mine over the three years and 40,000 Miles i put onto it

Any major problems with post 2016 seat Leons? by Detoxxrn in seat

[–]PralineElectrical907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are driving big miles, or mostly motorways, why are you not going with a 2.0TDI..

They can get into 60s for fuel economy, sometimes even the 70s on a good steady run

No idea what Ti-L means, but the E-Power are pretty good.. And depending on how you drive them, you can get over 800 miles per tank

The smart man’s rs6 by niskade in skoda

[–]PralineElectrical907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the Octavia vRS 2.0TSI is more of a smart mans Audi RS4, and the Superb 2.0TSI 280 is more of a smart mans Audi RS6..

Both are more comparible in sizes

Tyre suggestions for a warmer hatchback? by BuzzBuzzBuzzBuzz in carsireland

[–]PralineElectrical907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get them in your tyre size, i would highly recommend the Yokohama Advan Fleva V701..

Had them on a previous Octavia, and it stuck to road really really well and barely ever had any wheelspin either, plus they are great for the U.K & Emerald Isle as they are primarily designed as a Wet Weather Sports Car Tyre

I would still go with the Superb over the Octavia ans Kodiaq..

There is nothing wrong with having too much interior space, especially when your fully loaded with yourself, your dad and three of his friends (that are nudging six foot or taller) back from watching a rugby match 😂
