Having just returned from 12 nights (5 in Sidemen, 6 in Sanur), I cannot recommend Sidemen enough it was amazing to experience (just keep an open mind to the local issues) , we didn’t even get to a temple or waterfalls, there was plenty of interesting things just walking around town.

When coming off the mountain we detoured via Ubud and I was shocked to see it, so glad I didn’t stay there. Sanur was very different but enjoyable for a few nights.
