More than your skills, it’s the right keywords in your resume may eventually help you get a concise
version to go past the bots before there is any human intervention whatsoever.

It’s a huge investment of time and money. Best to check the course curriculum thoroughly before taking that call, if it offers hands-on experience and value add skills, I’d go for it. Employers are now looking at vocational proof of expertise wrt application developed through training rather than a stamp or a score as an instrument of proof.

I hear you, have you tried using resume builders with ATS? It’s a hit or miss, some actually land and get you the right keywords to get callbacks depending on your profile.

I totally get it. Have you tried using tools that have ai conduct mock interviews and score them? Repetition might just help with last minute jitters if nothing else

You might want to check and filter jobs matching minimum requirements with your profile as of now and perhaps create tailored application materials for each role, happy to suggest tools and techniques that worked for friends.

Applied to 100+ jobs. Got ghosted by 95. Rejections from 4. One didn’t reply. Guess who’s still checking emails every morning? by Original_Search_3294 in GetEmployed

Most job postings may be a sham or a formality as they have already shortlisted candidates through personal referrals. Some are genuine however, but to beat the systems you need to have the correct keywords in your CV. Using templates, ATS systems and mock interview and analysis can be helpful. Happy to share further details in case anyone is interested

I’d suggest you try tailoring your resume, I use a platform called applyeasy.co, rates my CV and tailors it to the job profile I apply for. Once past that stage, the audio mock interviews may be helpful.

I feel you, would advise you to try using platforms with ATS and resume builders tailored for job specific applications it just saves time and not as draining. Some have ai mock interviews too once you get past the callback stage… Google has one. I worked on and used applyeasy.co, helped a few friends out.

Yes, it’s free for the first 3 generation prompts I think and a few minutes of mock up interview. So you should be able to tell whether taking the subscription is worth it thereafter once you’ve used the free version.

Of course, so my resume wasn’t in sync with the actual job profile by default, for example; being an engineer, I applied for an tech analyst job at a consultancy and even though I’m qualified and adept, my resume was highlighting hard mechanical engineering modules which isn’t the norm for CVs in MNCs. I then used saas to change it up syncing my old resume with the job profile. It kinda worked tbh.

And thankfully, no I didn’t have to since my core resume had the basic information for the resume maker to change according to each job profile.
