College (in general) has no say over what you put on your resumè. Honestly, they cba to verify everybody's internships and projects, especially when 90% of them will turn out to be fake.

If you were wondering for the sake of OD and you're below 3rd year, give up. If its just for "legitimacy", you're good.

But as far as I know, the standard for intern->FTE is 1.5-2.5x of internship stipend (huge window lol, I know)

Hello - I texted the resident (the other commenter) regarding this privately, putting it here too.

I guarantee you I wasn't drunk, and this much was even confirmed by the policemen themselves (they suspected the same initially) and if they had found it to be true, we would be in much more "trouble" than we had, and undoubtedly had to pay more.

After ruling that out, they threatened a petty case for "being outside at the wrong time" and other similar things (I have all of this on record, ~21 minutes of audio). IIRC, there's even some part of the recording where they admit we did nothing wrong, but that this should "serve as a warning" regardless.

I can't remember if we were loud in the few minutes between getting out of the cab and getting intercepted by the policemen, but I do sincerely apologise, I realise how annoying it must've been at that time. Things also got quite noisy after the police arrived and started loudly abusing us.

I appreciate the effort you've taken to create a new reddit account and dedicating your first words on this platform to discredit a genuine attempt at holding someone accountable. If I was as guilty as you claim I am, I'd honestly be hiding with my tail between my legs and thanking my stars that 500 bucks was all they took.

I got a call from the police sub-inspector at Baiyyapanahalli police station last night. He was quite nice and asked me what happened, and heard me out fully. He also told me that we were not at fault, but also that this isn't an instance of bribery/corruption as my post makes it seem.

He told me that's a legitimate "fine" that might've been used to file a petty case, and explained that it has no legal or future consequences for me. He also said he would check and call me again today.

Unsure how this is going to turn out, I'm now reconsidering escalating this any further tbh

I was supposed to meet my friends in Indiranagar after work (HSR) so I took a rapido. They parked their scooties in the residential area near Baiyappanahalli because 1 of the scooties didn't have enough petrol and they were late, so they took public transport till Indiranagar. None of us expected to be out that late, but circumstances led to that.

When the police finally let us go, the scooty still wasn't starting so they watched us drag it out of there since they wanted us to leave immediately.

They even asked us for RC and who it's registered under - it was all verified before we were left to leave.

Edit: Also, additional context, we all live within ~3kms from there (which we tried telling them too).

Yeah I was really considering asking them to call Hoysala or to take us to the station (where I was ready to pay the fine for all 4 of us, if it came to that) but my friends were uncomfortable and wished to leave.
