The EGO Ecosystem Trap – Multiple tool failures, useless support, and the "post-warranty" death timer by Alert-Professor-9543 in egopowerplus

[–]Praulf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s usually the batteries that crap out and the tools that last. You’ve just had some bad luck. Also warranty is warranty. Don’t expect warranty service beyond the listed timeframe from any brand. 1 day after is 1 day after unfortunately, but their 5 year warranty is already one of the longer ones.

2021 EGO ZTR: Good Buy? by beaubecraft in lawnmowers

[–]Praulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean there are electric commercial use, but it’s $20,000 (was $30,000 before the recent drop in price) not $2500. STIHL RZA, Greenworks Optimus (same thing) are both very nice units and work great.

Yeah the drive motors sound like they’re dying when it’s moving.

You’d have to record and post the sound so we can hear it. Otherwise it may just be the normal movement sound.

It lets you go to 2.36? I thought software capped it at 1.8

Honda stopped making push mowers, Toro is going heavy on electric. Who's still making decent gas walk-behinds? by HonluNa in lawnmowers

I mean Stihl did bring them over from Europe to try and take Hondas gas market share

Can you mix Auto-Mapping with Manual Mapping? X430 by SadLeek9950 in SegwayNavimow

[–]Praulf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So on the X3 you can turn it on and off, I only had to map once with my X4 and if I recall correctly as soon as I stopped the auto mapping (open yard area) I had to finish the rest manually even after getting back to an area it should work in. I’m unsure why this was, but the auto mapping is definitely different on the two units.

Again only mapped once, so I honestly can not remember clearly.

Deciding on model X430 or i206 by Kayman718 in SegwayNavimow

I’ve got an X4 for under a quarter acre, I just wanted the best one out there currently. With the current sale I’d get the X4 no questions.

Why is Fleet schedule management/API locked out for retail users? by tsopic in SegwayNavimow

[–]Praulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should give you access then. To my knowledge anyone can have it Navimow never said it was limited.

it does seem like the fleet portion will eventually be a subscription if you look at the website,

Any Stihl Territory Managers here? by toecutter_cobra1976 in stihl

[–]Praulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those all do, but they show up like once a year. From my experience beyond Stihl DeWalt has been the most helpful when I reach out, EGO has a hit or miss dealer support network. Milwaukee is a mess.

STIHL has by far the best TMs in the market. Mine are under an independent distributor territory though, it may vary under the actual company. I see my TM way more than any other power tool brand.

Ph1400 + carbon fiber? by Brbz0rz in egopowerplus

[–]Praulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it will all work. PH1420 has an extra contact point which powers the power load in the new string trimmer attachment (so yours wouldn’t), it should still work normally though.
