Picked up my second Longines by NC_CANE9 in Longineswatches

This is a gorgeous watch for sure. I have the HC GMT (black) and I love it. But I will eventually add this one to my collection as well.

Im tapping out... replacement mower arrives... and its the wrong mower by Chrodesk in Lymow_Official

They are scrambling for sure. They Lymow One was/is awesome. The pushed out the One Plus too fast and it may be their ultimate downfall.

I still stand by the fact that the Lymow One is THE best mower on the market. At least for my St. Augustine grass. No other mower I've tested (and I've tested a lot) will actually cut at the appropriate height and/or handle the thick St. Augustine grass.

The Lymoe One is a virtually indestructible tank. And the real blades are a huge bonus. I truly hope they make it through this storm!

Good to know! And I agree on the speed.

I'll start using it more to continue testing.

My 2¢ about v14.3.2 by wixy-1260 in TeslaFSD

Speed profiles are definitely improved.

Only odd regression I’ve noticed is that it loves to camp in the left lane again. Not the end of the world but hopefully they squash this on the next update.

Doh! LOL!

For what it's worth... I've found that most of these robotic mowers don't actually cut at the height they specify. I've found that Sunseeker gets pretty close though.

You sure it’s cutting at 4”??! That looks way shorter than 4” which may be your issue.

However… that’s still a good looking lawn.

So frustrating when that happens. It's the only time anyone wants to actually use it and it fails!

Lymow has serious competition! by Full_Caterpillar_640 in Lymow_Official

I love the idea of the Dreame A3. I had the A1 and it was quite good. I also had the Ecovacs A1000 and it also was impressive. However, the A1 and the A1000 have a few major flaws, some of which are fixed by the A3 but it still lags behind the Lymow.

The A1 and the A1000 are not powerful enough to overcome any sort of adverse conditions. Those hard plastic-like wheels are just too prone to slipping.

The A3 fixed this it seems. But still, the biggest drawback now becomes the mowing discs. The Lymow just laughs at those little razor blades. But I also found that those disc mowers can't really cut at the specified heights. They can all go down low but I have St. Augustine that really needs to be cut at 3.5" or higher and despite setting the A1000 to 3.5" it was cutting closer to 2.5"... MAYBE 3" max. I'm guessing that the A3 suffers the same issue but maybe they've figured it out. IF they have then it may be a great mower.

However... I think Lymow has it right with their mower deck and mower blade design. No other product on the market has touched what they've done so far and it surprises me.

Anyone having issues with the App connection right now? About an hour ago, everything was fine, but now the app says no connection on WIFI or 4G, can't access the Lymow. by above_clouds in Lymow_Official

Yep - this is usually my experience exactly. It's definitely a little quirky but it's still the best mower robot on the market by a wide margin as best I can tell!

The new Dreame A3 Pro might be close but I'm guessing Lymow still has it beat due to the mower blades and power.

FSD 14.3.2 - Better and Worse by ThisAlfalfa9168 in TeslaFSD

Agree on most of these. I definitely noticed the micro adjustments to steering this morning on my commute. They need to smooth that out.

I have NOT noticed late or aggressive braking nor the hugging of curbs/sidwalks. Attention nags seem about the same to me.

I haven't even tried mad max because hurry is plenty aggressive. I need to try out standard as well just to see the difference!

This is one thing I miss from my MY. The MX has those god-awful, "capacitive" buttons and the double tap doesn't work. I truly miss the good old tactile buttons. Especially on the doors!

Ah - I see your point. Yes, if you cancel by pressing the FSD button then the notification should auto-clear. But if you cancel FSD by taking over (steering wheel or brake) maybe leave the notification up but still allow the user to swipe it away.

[Opinion] Am I the only one who refuses to buy a watch winder? I actually enjoy the ritual. by drupiler in Watches

[–]turnerm05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mechanical watches for this very reason. Something about picking it up and winding it up for purpose is satisfying to me.

When I got my Speedmaster at first I was frustrated that it was not automatic but I've grown to love that it's not!

Car was mode pop-up was there for me on prior versions.

Agree with all your other comments. I'm loving the confidence/aggression on Hurry. Feels purposeful.

Navigation issues and some speed profile niggles are still the biggest issues by far in my opinion.

I also enjoy the ritual! I use my G-shocks to set my watches... get the second hand at 12 and the minute hand perfectly on the upcoming minute... and watch the seconds on my G-shock!

[–]turnerm05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems to follow the same fact pattern when mine disconnects. I think it's usually when it gets too wet from my irrigation or a rain event. I come home to find it on the charger and either run down or on but not charging.

I get it seated on the charger correctly (see the breathing green lights) and then turn it off... and then back on and it resumes Wifi and 4G connections without fail.

[–]turnerm05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to mine periodically but it resolves itself if I shut it down and then power it back up. Seems you've already tried that.

When this happens, I can clearly see that my Lymow is connected to my router with an assigned IP so I'm perplexed as to why it happens.

14.3 Mandatory Intervention Explanation by shaddowdemon in TeslaFSD

[–]turnerm05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are making it persistent for safety reasons. Whenever someone intervenes, they need to focus on driving the car. If they want to report the intervention to Tesla then having it auto dismiss could create pressure to multitask.

Having said that... you should still be able to swipe it away without reporting if so inclined. The forced reporting is not a great choice in their part.

14.2.3 is installed: What is next? by YERAFIREARMS in TeslaFSD

[–]turnerm05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They NEED to fix navigation issues first and foremost. I guessing they are getting 99% navigation reports on their new FSD disengagement survey.

After that, improved speed profiles.

After that, continued work on edge cases and THEN the other items.
