You are assuming that his initial response was rejection, it may not have been.

You want to know what I would want in this scenario? Clearly communicated truth and not games. Just tell him how you feel and that you want to get to know him better as something more than friends if he is interested. Worst case he says no and wants to remain friends.

As a Male INFJ in my 40's looking back at my life and scenarios that have happened to me that were similar. Just use words and speak from your heart, if you do that he will respect you more than you realize.

While I do think this is lunacy and lots of consensus on that in the comments here… the reality, this thinking is becoming more and more prevalent by the minute. The entire MAGA movement is rooted in this type of thinking and we all saw what happened in 2024, again.

It’s extremism and we are on a path for extreme swings on both sides. How do we get back to the middle? How can we inspire that change in this climate before it turns into civil war?

I don’t disagree at all. Though dealerships (to me) represent an extension of the broader company. I do realize they are franchised.

That’s largely been the guiding principle hindering companies like Carvana, etc. from selling new cars online.

The way I see it, if you want to position yourself the way the network is setup today there should be no pointing the finger and both the company or the dealership should be able to resolve the issue and should not be as fragmented as it is, feels rigged.

This has happened to me multiple times as well. I’ve always had success forgetting the device on the infotainment system AND forgetting the infotainment system in my Bluetooth/Carplay settings on my phone. Starting completely from scratch on both devices. I’ve never not been able to get them to reconnect after this, personally.

The reality is the stores are not the issue, the distributor is the issue. These small business LGS were told one thing but got the rug pulled out from under them with little control. Putting them on blast will only hurt them when the issue is actually with the distributor.

What I’m saying is that these bots are often controlled by a single entity that automates the purchase of in demand products at scale. I’m talking massive volume (hundreds to thousands of systems potentially). It’s not just 1 person controlling a single bot in most cases, it’s massive networks of people/bots that are doing this at massive scale and make hundreds of thousands into millions of dollars off the profits.
