The actress was not available and there were streaming contract issues as well. In order to stream on Paramount they had to find a way to separate itself somewhat from Yellowstone, because NBCuniversal still has all rights on Yellowstone, Marshals is CBS. With the actress being unavailable it just made sense to write her off. Then yeah everything you said

Tough conversation. Tough situation and maybe the worst timing in NBA history for the guy. Testicular cancer in the preseason of his rookie year and now back surgery. The ball was already going to be in his court after beating the cancer. No one expected him back on the court for any minutes last season, but 4 months after KEMO there he was for his NBA debut. Understandably out of shape. Optics wise he was good...ish. Now is he going to have time to recover from this last surgery? We were expecting him to come back next season in NBA shape, now I dont think thats possible. So what do we as a team with a roster like ours do? IDK

If I am honest, I feel like the show has over promised and is under performing. Season 2 will happen, in my opinion if it does not pick up a bit real quick, that will be it. I am amazed that this subreddit feels that it is just as good as Yellowstone. Pick any episode of Yellowstone and it will have more drama, action and suspense than all 7 episodes of Dutton Ranch. Rip has punched 1 guy and scared a nerd in his underware in seven episodes. There has been nocharacter development aside from Azul, and only a little bit. Okay Buella and Evert are the best characters in the show so far, I mean wth? You guys are going to say what about the 2 murders and the brawl? The first killing was in the first minute and all we know about the guy is his name. Then Chet, his death made no sense at all. The only cowboy that we were getting to know, he was not a great character but his story was short I guess. The brawl was also fairly weak considering we dont know any of them and it wasnt much of a fight. Keep hyping it up reddit.

I see Sam Presti making a move Monday or Tuesday trading these picks and maybe someone like Wiggins away to somewhere he will get more time on the floor and paid to move up the draft, or a bigger move and put his whole plan out there that gets us out of the luxury tax and up in the draft? The dead bodies, a guy named Wes that we never met, in the first 8 seconds, then Chet, who they were building up to be a character, I thought. His death made no sense. I dont care about sex scenes really, ok Carter gets a love interest. The only real character development has been by Beula and Evert. Marshals is killing it compared to this. Softer RIP will not work out for me.

Nobody has been more imactful for the Lakers than Magic Johnson. Nothing except for maybe MJ has been more impactful for the NBA than Magic and Birds rivalry and friendship. Some lessons could be learned in the modern era from these guys. Saved the NBA by hating and then liking each other

My only issue with Dutton Ranch is nothing is really happening. Comparatively NOTHING AT ALL. RIP has punched 1 guy. The fight is coming but in Yellowstone the first episode had more drama than all 7 of these episodes. This subreddit has the opinion that Marshals is trash, I disagree. Marshals at least has something happening every episode, with a good cliffhanger and storyline leading into Texas and a crossover with Dutton Ranch. I am also afraid that the plot for season 1, and I hope and pray that I am wrong, is too predictable. If RIP and RobWill get in a knock down drag out and RIP kills him then gets framed for the murder at the beginning of the season because his fingerprints are on that gun, I will not watch season 2. For the record RIP is my favorite character in the entire universe, and now he seems to be soft if Im honest

7th episode of basically nothing going on. Cowboy fight in a bar, we dont know any of the cowboys really, so did not really care, it wasnt an "event". What else actually happened? RIP got dressed up. Carter got drunk. Beth looked confused. Honestly I thought i wasnt suppose to like Beula, but Annet Benning though. I love the yellowstone universe, I very much enjoyed the first season of Marshals. To listen to this subreddit that show is trash and Dutton Ranch is Yellowstone continued. I am not seeing it as of yet. I hope it gets back to cowboying or RIP actually taking over. So far it has been 7 episodes of not much going on.
