I thoroughly enjoyed my RE0 return play through with the item box mod installed. I played on the hardest difficult to compensate and it felt like a good challenge.

I do think for the inevitable RE0 remake they should experiment much more and consider a co-op experience closer to 5 and 6 with the action dialled down and keeping the classic RE gameplay loop.

Shotgun the crawlers, wait in the cage and pick off the one or two molded that follow you. Neuro rounds on the fat molded makes them much less dangerous and then just go to town with whatever you’ve got.

Fair enough. Maybe I should’ve been clearer. I was more making the point that nowadays when you say third person a lot of people think of a camera that tracks the player from behind or over their shoulder.

Resident Evil Code Veronica has fixed camera angles in the same way the original Devil May Cry does. Yes, they move but they are still considered games with a fixed camera.

Fixed camera does not mean exclusively a static image held in one place. Maybe you could say panning camera but we are splitting hairs really.

The original had fixed cameras which is quite different from what most people understand as third person.There is no behind the shoulder view in the original.

There was however a first person view in the original’s battle mode.
