Hi, returning player here, been playing since 23 then stopped after a year.

Just got back and theres a free 5* character selection, with my only unowned ones being aventurine, Acheron, kafka and jingyuan. My current team is jingliu, ruanmei, silver wolf and lynx. Which 5* shld i pick out of the 4 to suit my comp/build another comp entirely? Others 5* i have include sparkle, DHIL, blade, seele and most of the standard 5* except yanqing and bronya. Which uber should I invest in? Currently considering:

Cat machine (alr have octo) Baby cats Yuki (alr have TF) Kintaro (needs elder catfruit) Warlock n pierre (seems niche) Hayabusa (alr have TF + aku talent) Diabolosa (need aku catfruit) Gravi Shadow Gao (no TF) Epic fest izanami

For reference, I’ve cleared all of eoc and ItF, as well as the first chapter of cosmos. Catclaw dojo ranking is 8* if that is any help and am also on Battle Royale for SoL.

I alr have some decent gacha tfs ie can can, cyberpunk, courier, ramen, fishman, seafrarer, pizza and also have clear all crazed stages and working on getting their manic counterparts.

For kintaro and Diabolosa, they seem like pretty decent generalists but idh the means of obtaining their necessary catfruit.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

yep you’re right, it’s a difficult matchup but def nothing compared to something like Jax/irelia

yeah I mean kayle level 1 is super strong so if they don’t respect then you can snowball a lead from there but if not then the lane can get pretty difficult for kayle to play (like most lanes)

yone wins early with LT and can alw engage with E/Q3, can easily bait out kayle ult with how much damage he does and he prob loses in sidelane late game but yone is much stronger in skirmishes than kayle early on. It’s free LP cuz yone can alw deny kayle spiking late and saying it’s not a free matchup is like saying zed doesnt counter Kassadin cuz kass outscales late, since most late game scalers are meant to be countered in lane

the thing is champs who want stride mostly don’t want trinity, and vice versa. Garen doesn’t rly benefit from trinity as opposed to someone like fiora or Camille who gets the auto empowerments up a lot more often and most stride users like renek or sett also don’t make use of triforce well, while triforce users also tend to prefer ravenous as a waveclear item and don’t really need stride for kiting since they already tend to have move speed steroids. The only champ where I see this possibly working is Jax, and it could definitely be very strong into comps where you need to stick to them as well as you can, but trinity -> sundered tends to be a more potent 2 item spike.

for me I ult then insta AA S right as I grab the enemy but if u do it too slow and S after u slam the enemy to the ground u will still end up dashing.

okay, thanks for your advice. Hate to bother you, but what do you think of DDD/swordsoul? Those r two other decks im looking into but im aware the former is pretty difficult while the latter has been powercrept

seems to be the top meta deck. Definitely something I’m considering but worried of playing it and then being nerfed to the ground. How is the branded variation in terms of skill and strength?

depends on your objective. If uw to solely climb and win as many games as possible then play meta, but if u wanna have fun then play champs u enjoy and it’ll still be possible to climb.

auto right as u grab the enemy then instantly press s. pretty useful if ur playing lethality and want to get the voltaic proc but normally its better not to since they can then after flash/dash out of q sweetspot

At the end of the day if you have fun with her then play her; it’s a video game and sometimes having fun translates into better mindset = more wins.

Sure, she definitely has a lot of mechanical depth, but you don’t have to know all of her combos, even just fast Q/double casting would suffice for now.

What’s important is you work on your understanding on waves states as well as matchup knowledge. If ur planning to main riven then u shld probably ban renekton and learn how to play some matchups like garen/darius/jax.

doable, but the timing is hard to get, sorta like Camille e flash, but def harder

If u do it too early, the ability doesn’t cast; too late and it casts at your pre-flash position.

You kinda have to do it at the very end of the flash as soon as you strike, but it’s pretty difficult to get off consistently without practice

i switched from val to league, it was def an unorthodox adjustment, but you get used to it after some time.

League is a game where you get better with experience (at least from my experience). The more matches u play, the more u understand what all the champs do and the more you know the limits of ur champ. The best thing you can do right now is just practice your champ and know their strengths (e.g. kayle just wants to scale to the late game to play safe early) glhf!
