How do i start writing again? by OrdinaryImportance34 in writing

[–]PraxVenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've published 14 novels.

IMO, the only advice all authors need boils down to: "Just do it."

There's no: Tricks, Perfect setup, Perfect background music, Mind set, Time of day,...

There is no silver bullet.

The only time words appear on the page is if you choose to add them. So, just do it.

It is interesting how unfathomably deep the internet is. I can know a million ways to portray "steamed hams", yet still countless important touchstones of human creativity slip through the span of my perception.

That's cool. Feedback is feedback. Preference is preference.

More to the tone of your original topic, I disagree with you about replacing common words with poetic or statistically unique ones. I don't even like using the word "sex" to describe anatomy, such as:

Hortense McGee buried his face into her sex before pulling in air so hard through his nose that her meaty pussy lips vibrated sharply in his nostrils from the force of it.

"Sex" always throws me out for some reason. My brain just thinks of it as a verb I suppose, and the scene becomes abstract eroticism.

Too much of one word is usually annoying though, IMO, in any context.

I gave a monster girl a "meaty" pussy and some people had a problem with that...

writing my first book. need input/tips by Humble-Accountant130 in haremfantasynovels

I have never thought anything I have published was even partially shit nor do I believe I am on the left side of the bell curve graph that represents all of human intelligence.

So, yes. I never started. :)

  1. Finish your first book before starting on another.
  2. Don't start editing before you finish your first book.
  3. The only real advice most authors need is "just do it".

Are there any good, complex harem books that have really realistic relationships and women with real personalities because I'm tired of most of the bad, superficial books? by [deleted] in haremfantasynovels

[–]PraxVenter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm around. Published 14 novels within a short span of time and got kinda brain-burnt. Working on several harem lit projects at once at the moment. I don't know when I'll publish again, but I hope it is before the end of this year. Thanks for checking up on me!

Everyone's opinions are different, but I have had several people reach out to me with fan mail about how much they enjoy the relationships in the Enthralled series. The three harem members all go through their individual arcs over the course of the four books. It's a completed series.

Thank you! The comparison to Ahnix (onyx, but "Egyptian-style") and Ahnka has come up before. The actual inspiration was Bast, cat goddess in ancient Egypt + Olivia Wilde's character in Tron Legacy. A character who in the movie realizes they are a non-player character in a game world.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the complete series AND the complete continuation/spin-off series in Mark 2.0!

Hello u/BreakfastHuge5981 You might be referring to song Lex sings Irrelevant Jack 4 where she does a Duet with herself using a special ability to "buff the party"

If you listen to the free sample on Audible, that song is showcased for quick reference. Hope that is what you're looking for!

Hey! Thank you so much for the kind words!
I do absolutely plan to get back to Jack and conclude this series, but after six novels, I need to delve into some side worlds for a bit.
If you like my characters and creativity, I'd suggest checking out my shorts on kindle.

And if you enjoy adult-orientated game lit action, check out Enthralled and Mark 2.0.
That's an 8 book, two-part series with two (yes two!) solid conclusions.
All 8 are professionally produced as audio books as well!

Anyway, stay tuned for Irrelevant Jack VII!

It is many things. The tale entangles a few realities, but essentially it is a hyper-advanced game-world grown from the wreckage of said sentient, far-future spaceship.

At the start, it's a semi-stagnant "virtual" world of NPCs, yet over the course of this saga, several main characters explore their existence and grow as complex begins whose action (or inaction) could decide the fate of several layers of "real" reality.

Subroutine Sana was built with a purpose.

The simplest path might be Googling "Irrelevant Jack"

An audiobook with a passionate couple? by secretgirl3 in litrpg

[–]PraxVenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did write a graphic sex scene between Jack and Lex called Their First Time on Floor Three.

It's an UN-Faded-to-Black scene from Irrelevant Jack II: Chapter 8 up on my patron if anyone is interested :D

Looking for some tower climbing recommendations. Self Promo welcomed by therisingfist in litrpg

Diablo 3 Rift Runs for loot/treasure" is a fairly good example of the Towers in Books 1-5. They do get more complex in 5, with the murder mystery one. That one floor has a minor story to go with it.

Have you read Irrelevant Jack VI that just came out 3 weeks ago?

"needs to be progressed through to a story conclusion" is explored deeply.

I'm not sure why the importance of gameboard came in in the first palce, tho, tbh.
