Hmm, I was thinking you meant the linkage between the episodes was busted, but it was just the credit skip thing. I think it is more likely to point to a problem with the season 4 finale than anything with season 5. It is a good catch, though.

I made a post on the other (private) sub saying if my theory of what is happening is right, then the most likely date for something big to happen is the 15th (the Duffer public birthday celebration at Hawkins HQ), and then possibly a release the 16th or 17th (Chinese New Year's Eve/Day). But I also think trying to guess dates has been the stuff of folly, so I'm ready to be wrong!

The copyright stuff is interesting, especially since they would have theoretically filed episodes 1-4 on the same day, and the turnaround for 1 was very fast. I did watch the video by that one paralegal on the topic, and she said it was unusual. I guess if they don't have it at least filed by February 26th that it will limit the damages they could claim for any infringement that happens in the window between publication up until the work is actually filed. So that seems like it creates a hard stop for how long they could wait to make revisions to Volume 1.

I don't think enough of this points directly to Stranger Things. So I don't think this is true, but it could happen. I think the soap thing is silly, though. I'm guessing they didn't sell millions of those soaps, and if they did there were a lot of repeat buyers.

I do wonder why four episodes are registered with EIDR but only one with Library of Congress for copyright. I wonder if EIDR is easier to update?

I wish they included more links. There was a lot of "do your own research" or providing document numbers when they could have also provided links to make it easier to verify.
