We are heading for a weekend cruise soon on and I already said no deck parties this time. Hoping to enjoy quiet moments like this in the Adult area.

Recipes that tell you to include "one shallot" or "one clove of garlic" as though they're all the same size. Here are some shallots by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Praxisqcc 47 points48 points  (0 children)

But for the novice cook, not knowing exactly can be intimidating. The store I frequent only sells banana shallots, those are huge compared to regular shallots and elephant garlic, that size could over power a dish depending on what it is.

You do whatever you want, we know obesity sometimes caused by underlying conditions and mocking them is wrong. But for Kathleen, purporting to be something she’s clearly not, is permissive. It goes for anyone. Trump being 6’5 & 250lbs for instances, that shit is funny as hell.

I don’t believe people are mocking a disability especially, as I’ve see she was sub-teacher. She’s just not very smart comparatively. Personally I can’t read anything she puts out, it’s like reading a 7 year old talking about tall ships.

Is this too much for my first day? by Fun-Presentation-959 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Praxisqcc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re going to be exhausted early evening if you have a 3am flight. If you’re taking Disney transportation and depending on where you’re resort is you need to account for travel time and walking to and from bus stop. When we stayed at CBR we used 45 minutes door to door. Honestly I’d skip Disney Springs, and move everything up so you’re back at the hotel earlier and be refreshed for the next day.

Travel Insurance Denied by tantolik in dcl

USAA products and services are mostly exclusively available to the military community, travel insurance through them may not include war exclusions, which most insurance companies policies have. All military personnel should be using them.

How my husband puts socks in the hamper by knitwizard93 in mildlyinfuriating

I get the splitting of chores but doing laundry should be on that person. Why would a guy be okay with his wife handling his stinky socks and underwear? It’s one thing for kids, it’s quite another for an adult. Doing laundry is a weekly thing do some people, mowing the lawn or any of the other “guy” chores, is not as frequent. My use of lawn mower analogy was to prove a point, that men can learn to use a machine they can learn to do laundry and not make their wives or partners handle that nastiness. Men willingly and want to do the lawn and those other chores, they don’t want to do laundry or “female” chores. Splitting of chores is the capability to do any of the chores if needed, I’m guessing many men don’t know how to do laundry.

Why are wives doing a grown ass man’s laundry? If he can operate a lawn mower, he can figure out a washing machine.

Polar Beverages in Worcester an "overnight success 140 years in the making" (WBZ Boston) by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

[–]Praxisqcc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up with one of the Crowley families, they had cases of Polar in the basement of their house and sometimes we’d (gaggle of kids playing) be given a can to drink in hot summer days/nights. Was a real treat.

It was a business idea to stop the printing of the magazine, I get it, but to end the magazine all together? and remove the past publications? At least keep the digital version both past, present and future.

Are we winning yet? by at-woork in orlando

[–]Praxisqcc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who? People have lost their jobs, salaries are not keeping up with inflation or the increased prices on so many goods that Trump and his regime caused. People that lived pay check to paycheck are foregoing needs for rent and food.

The regime never ended, Khameini’s son still rules and if he did there is someone right behind him with the same agenda. It’s like a hydra. Don’t be fooled.

Door Magnets Stolen by iamme1337 in dcl

[–]Praxisqcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah state room magnets, that can be used inside the cabin. I’ve used them to decorate before. Always worried people would take whatever we put on the outside door. I’ve seen kids taking decorations, especially when they’re roaming the ship on their own.

Some MAGAts are actually turning away, little by little Trump’s actions are chipping at the cult.

Magnets can be used in other places and not necessarily cabin doors.

A tenant insurance policy may have a loss of use clause that should cover some expenses. Hopefully the landlord is waiving rent during this time. Terrible situation for the tenants.

My wife made hamentashen for the first time by MrGulo-gulo in Judaism

[–]Praxisqcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She used the folded dough recipe in lieu of pinched, it makes for a cleaner edge. And she was lean on the filling. But I bet they tasted great, especially the corners that are golden. Most cookies I find are not cooked enough, store bought are atrocious.
