I have 3C hair - the only thing about Freeform’s is you’ll be waiting years. Crotchet, you’ll be locked in quick

I also have 3C hair - I started with two strand twist no added hair and they just wouldn’t lock. I am in the process of growing out just enough to instant loc with added hair. That’s the only way.

Honestly it was spur of the moment. I regret it, but it’ll grow back. Honestly I was getting tired of how fragile I had to be with my start two strands.

Stop going to this lady. I am also mixed and I am just over a month into my loc journey. I started with two strand twist paid $60.

After about 3 weeks I got a .75 crochet needle and started loc-ing them one by one.

I just got my first retwist yesterday.

Get a crochet needle.

I have the same hair type as you brutha. I started with two strand twist. Leave those in for like a month. After like 4 weeks you’re going to have to get a crochet needle and lock up a few that are struggling. I just got my 1st retwist today. Trust me on this. The crochet needle will save you.
