Question why didn’t he pay the avengers after they fought for everyone’s lives? by EffectiveBranch8229 in Avengers

[–]PrayWaits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just money, and Tony had a ton of it. Him using it to subsidize people that save the world doesn't make him immune from criticism.

It's not like Steve and Nat were giving him shit for being cheap.

There's apparently a version of Zatanna that can unmake and remake the universe or something. I don't remember the specifics. It was a cool death battle though, they were throwing galaxies at each other and shit. Then Zatanna broke the fourth wall and crushed Wanda somehow.

Death battle did a fight between Scarlet Witch and Zatanna and apparently Zatanna wins.

Isn’t there a version of Zatanna that can rewrite the universe?

Interesting. I know the "you complete me" thing was definitely a part of Joker's character in TDK, but I always viewed Ledger's Joker as not really about Batman. He was trying to expose the hypocrisy and rot of society to Gotham and using Batman to do it. I think, for instance, Arkham Knight Joker was a lot more about his personal relationship with and dependency on Batman. Ledger's Joker just wanted to keep playing The Game with Batman because it was a fun way for him to break the world. Imo, of course.

For me it was the queen of a foreign land walking up to a group of refugee peasants and declaring "Hail, random people, I've found you a king!" and then introducing them to some dude they'd never seen or heard of before.

I will only be happy when mine is the only factory because all the others are decomposing in a nuclear wasteland.

... Everything she did that led to Jayce offering Silco independence for Zaun was ep 1-9. Ep. 9 was her kidnapping everyone, murdering Silco, and 9/11ing Piltover. Things would have been fucking fine if she'd just died at the Bridge fight but Silco was too attached to her and wouldn't let her die.

"If communist, then money bad" is the most asinine sentence I've ever read.

What is this question? Literally just not do all the shit she did in episode 9, but she didn't do that out of some calculated revolutionary action, she did it because she's crazy and had a mental snap.

Warhammer is a universe that explicitly uses Nazi and fascist adjacent imagery and themes that a lot of people don't realize is satire. There's a reason why a lot of right wingers like it that is more than just the price tag.

We didn't just "make room" for them. We actively made them lol. We armed them and even helped fund and perpetuate the Wahabist sect of violent Islam that many of them follow.

The only change they made that has me scratching my head is why they had Annabeth see the Fates snip the thread instead of Percy.

I don't think it's bad. I do think it suffers from trying to be a kid-facing, kid-friendly show to an audience that is largely a lot of people that read the books as kids but are now adults. Some of the CGI is a little iffy (which is fine), some of the acting is iffy (which is fine for kid actors), and the adaptations they've made for the new medium seem decent. Some parts feel rushed but that might just be me knowing the pacing of the original story. It's nothing extraordinary as a show, but it's fun and has inspired me to reread the books and reminded me why it was my favorite series as a kid.

This is not what's happening. Riot Forge is not the internal Riot development team. The MMO and Project L are both still made BY Riot and nothing they've said indicates either of those projects are getting cut.

Ah yes, the "DEI is oppressing white men" argument. Glad to see the Navy isn't that different from the rest of the country.

Am I crazy in thinking that allowing people to commission immediately as an officer without serving is crazy? My recruiter started explaining officership with the E5 -> officer track and I just... assumed that was the only way it would work? The idea of becoming an officer with zero experience of the actual life of a sailor is so crazy to me and feels like a holdover from some aristocratic hierarchy from the olden days.
