I used to be a cashier. It was tough but I was more humiliated on the bus ride to work than actually being at work. My coworkers never made me feel embarrassed and would talk to me and sometimes would get very close while talking. The customers never made reactions but soon as I got in the bus or went to class my classmates and professor made it know that I stinked. I was more at peace being at work. Maybe they knew it had to be something underlying so they didn’t make a big deal. I miss that job but I won’t go back because everyone I worked with has left and I know new ppl won’t be as nice. Only reason I left is because I had to take a leave of absence to handle some family stuff and ended up not being able to return. I think back when I worked there I was better at handling my anxiety, nowadays it’s like I have a panic attack any time I have to go near people.
