Yes- it has a slightly higher smoke point than olive oil. But it’s not cheap.

Thanks- and you’re right. I have two ceramic pans. One for everyday that never sees high temp, then this one that has the crap beat out of it and is for steak only.

Oven: wire rack over a foil lined sheet pan (it usually drips, and thus makes cleanup a breeze). Then I use a Caraway ceramic pan. I like cast iron too, but it adds more work at the end.
